April 22, 20241 yr Looks awesome. I worry they gave away too many cool looking scenes but hopefully there's plenty of surprises left. Rumors are there will be cameos, I hope they don't show any of them in any future trailers. Dr. Strange 2 did that and the moment was obvious.
April 23, 20241 yr It looks really good. Even the CGI looked good. How many jokes about snow are they going to get into that movie? 2nd trailer they've gone there Apparently Like a Prayer was also released on 22nd April, A complete coincidence, but very funny all the same.
May 12, 20241 yr Credit to Marvel, this casting is great. Ineson is a good actor, with a lot experience, great voice and can sell cheap Romanian cars on the side What's not to like?
May 13, 20241 yr I can't believe how absolutely f'ing awesome X-Men '97 was. Easily one of the top 3 or top 2 fave things I've seen from Marvel. It holds its weight against modern shows like Invincible but kept true to the storylines and put terrific spins on most of the sprawling cast. Animation is sneaky good too.

Just started it and agree it's really good. Marvel would be smart to give Beau DeMayo, producer, creative control and see if he can turn the ship around.

So, I wasn't a comic book kid growing up so I never watched the original. Is '97 good as a stand alone, or is it really good because it continues the original series? Am I gunna be missing out if I don't watch the original?

I'd say if you at least watched some of the xmen live action movies, especially the more recent ones that go into the Dark Phoenix plotline, you'll be fine.

They fired him - the rumoured reasons are "I think he was probably difficult to work with and getting on everyone’s last nerve, and I don’t think the OnlyFans stuff helped.”

I was watching it last night (with Wolves game on TV 2 passively, since they are teh fail now) -- and I don't recall being awake for Wolves-Nuggest halftime, but I woke up at 230am Central Time with X-Men still plugging along... so I feel like I easily slept through about 10+ episodes
