October 27, 20213 yr Honestly, the people who are going to get in trouble with the monthly checks are the folks still making a good income and not taking enough money out of their paychecks. And when they’re wondering why they’re getting nothing back maybe they’ll recall getting $3600 x number of kids in monthly checks from the government.
October 27, 20213 yr Imagine having a former President so thoroughly in your head that you feel the need to bring him up day after day in response to the fact that our current President is awful and everyone hates him

I'll ask again: Where's my monthly tax credit for not having kids and not being a drain on the system? I'm not really a fan of this child tax credit. I don't mind public assistance to those who truly need it in difficult times, but at the very least, this should be temporary. Stop telling me about how it "lifts kids out of poverty." What a disingenuous statement. It's just a band-aid on a much bigger problem. Having kids are a drain on the system? Alright then, everybody stop having kids. Let's sterilize everyone. Let's see how that works out 10, 20, 30+ years from now. Kids are expensive. Parents are raising the future generations. I believe we should encourage parents to have kids. Give them a tax break.

Having kids that you can't afford is definitely a drain on the system. Not to mention overpopulation, overcrowded schools, environmental degradation, etc. We should not be encouraging people to have kids, and certainly not those who are low-income.

Poor people shouldn’t have kids, but if we need more workers in the future it’ll be fine if we welcome in some immigrants, right??

Sure, I'm all for immigration. In a perfect world, though, I'd say no one should have kids, and I'd be happy if the human race wiped itself out in the next few generations. Humanity is a scourge. Your move

Perfect would have lots of humans, all having everything they need and getting along while living in harmony with nature and the planet. I hope you don't always set the bar so low.

I'm telling you that I think the world would be better off without any human society at all.

I think we've done enough beta testing of humans to know that this isn't going to work out in the long-run.
October 27, 20213 yr Author You guys lived through 2020-21 in the United States and still have hope for humanity? That's admirable, in like a delusionally optimistic sort of way. It'd be nice to convince myself that humanity can redeem itself, but a neverending series of masssive disappointments has led me to believe it's just not in the cards.
