He reminds me of vick. His game is very similar.  He just doesnt have vicks speed or arm strength

That's why he doesn't remind me of Vick. You can also add, he's better at reading defenses than Vick was.

Doesn’t matter who’s the QB if the Oline can’t block, the WR’s can’t get open, the coaches can’t coach and the GM can’t identify talent.

  • So we had to listen to an entire week of "He runs too much".   What will the talking points be this week?  Jalen and this Team can win in multiple ways.  Stop trying to put him in some box where he on

Yeah he doesn't have Vick's speed or arm strength.  But he still has great speed and more than enough arm strength.

More importantly, he is a more advanced and accurate passer right off the bat.  In time he should be much better.  Vick was erratic his whole career.

He's also smarter and more poised.  Knows how to get down and avoid big hits ala Russell Wilson, something guys like Vick and RG3 never learned.

Sounds like vick really likes hurts game and is a supporter of him as the eagles starter over wentz.

i find this interesting.   If anything i would expect him to keep that opinion somewhat to himself but he is pretty open with his take

Annnnnd it's time to pump the brakes on Hurts. That was bad.

Please tell me how Hurts looked any different then Wentz in this game? Are we now ready to admit Doug is the problem? 3 run plays in the 2nd half. once again, Doug lost the game.

The performance by the team as a whole was bad. The defense could generate pressure with the DL but the secondary doesn't have a legit starting CB outside of Slay. All three of the Cowboys stud WRs took turns harassing Jacquet.

Coaching situation is the same as before, start off with a nice gameplan but can't adjust when the defense manages to adjust. Ditched the running game and avoided deep shots to DJax the rest of the game for whatever odd reason. Schwartz hasn't been great but he's also been given a lot of trash to work with in that secondary in particular outside of Slay. He can only do so much.

Sure the fumbles and 2 INTs by Hurts were not good, but the latter INT was obviously a desperation throw when the team is down 20 pts. For a rookie 2nd round pick, he's shown enough potential to build around and ironically might be the most promising of our 2020 draft choices going forward.

Either way, this team needs help everywhere outside of maybe interior DL.

Defensive Secondary and Linebackers are the Eagles'  #1 weakness, beyond any doubt.

He was bad.  And would look worse if some Saints and Cardinals defenders actually held on to dropped INTs.  Two failed comebacks in 2 weeks.  Very little production in 4th quarter.  I'm not sure if Doug can do anything to help him out.

I remember him at Alabama. He makes a few plays a game with his legs that make you go "wow"! It makes him look better than he is.

Where does offensive line fit in?

Seumalo with a couple false start penalties. Mailata gave up sacks. Matt Pryor was just awful today.

In Dallas.... this is a fumble.

I absolutely agree that was not a fumble. Horrible, inexcusable call.

He's not the same player that he was at Alabama. You do realize that he played for another collegiate team and greatly improved since then though correct? But really doesn't matter. Pretty clear to me that no QB no matter how great can be successful with a Pederson run offense.

How are you guys bashing Doug's game plan? He was behind a ton and the defense was injured and played like trash. He had to throw.

Hurts struggled tonight, no question. He still had a better game than almost every game Wentz had this season. One is a number 2 overall pick in his 5th season, the other a rookie 2nd round pick. Acting like Hurt's performance absolves Wentz in any way shape or form is laughable. One thing is certain though, this organization needs to clean house.

He was behind two scores a good part of the game and abandoned the run game once again.

LOL. I agree, I just chuckled at the fact the name Pederson was proceeded by the word "run".

Which is why there needs to be someone outside of NFL to overlook every game and have that person be able to overturn any of referee's calls and have it final so BS like this doesn't happen. Ref who made this BS call needs to go to WWE and have wrestlers beat his arse up good!!!

It's quite obvious there is zero accountability for NFL officials. You would literally have to be blind to look at that play and not realize it's conclusive that Hurts was down.

It’s a rookie’s (who had zero preseason) 3rd game. Still feel he has a higher ceiling than Carson at this point...at least here. We saw Carson’s ceiling, it was almost 4 years ago. Here’s an idea for all the people on here stuck on Wentz v Hurts...just cheer for whomever is starting. Simple right? Hope we get a normal offseason and the winner of a competition gets the nod next year.

We were up 14-3 when Doug started abandoning the run.

No one should be absolving Wentz from his pathetic season. He’s been woeful, but I think people are trying to use this to justify some of Carson’s struggles this year. I don’t think it’s wise to dismiss the struggles of either player.

This is the ESPN play by play of the game. Doug stayed with the run, but things began to go south when Sanders ran the ball for a bad loss.
