I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Adrian Clayborn was released by the Browns recently.  He's the kind of stop gap veteran the Eagles should sign to a 1-year deal instead of locking up Barnett.

Yea it's going to be tons of fun sitting by the window and seeing all your friends playing with their new toys while we got dollar store knock offs.

John Brown would be a good piece to add. Have always been a fan of his game.

Wanted him two years ago as a free agent. Can’t imagine the Eagles are in play though

The good thing about the Eagles having no cap space is I don’t have to see every bozo in here and on Twitter cry that the Eagles didn’t sign every single FA available...

Who am I kidding, it’ll still happen.

New Maseratis depreciate quickly. We're gonna opt for the used 2018 model with 3 accidents (Malik Hooker).

We have enough scrub WRs, develop what we have if we can and draft a stud at 6 like Chase and be done with it.

They still need money to sign rookies.

Alshon and M Jackson cuts alone do that.

Malik Hooker still has a ton of potential.  I would be thrilled to get him actually.

Finally a category the team will not be last in the League in.

Yea. Suck it Bucs with your lousy one comp pick.

Thats what we need an 11th average WR.

Sadly, you can make a case that Brown would be the best WR on this team if he was signed today.

That is all they will be getting too , should be a 5th

I could make an argument that todd Pinkston would be the best WR on this team doesn't mean it's a good argument.

I guess that's true.  My sense is that they will try to free up some more space.

I thought the league changed the comp picks recently

Technically not correct.  Even though we have the 28th comp pick, we also have the 32nd ( last ) comp pick.

2 additional 6th rounders. I'll take it. Thanks Washington and Miami.

Rams and saints will get two , thirds

Wow.... corroborated by multiple people with the story coming first hand from an ex-player.

https://www.phillyvoice.com/eytan-shander-eagles-jeffrey-lurie-meddling-ray-rhodes-jalen-hurts-wip/

Cliff notes, for those not inclined, is in the 90's the locker room suspected Lurie was making a lot of the decisions, listening to WIP.  TE Jimmy Johnson was cut directly by Lurie, and Ray Rhodes wasn't even told about it.  Learned about it encountering the angry player on his way out the door after he had been cut.

This is a much, much bigger problem than I even understood.  I thought this was a relatively new development, and that the seminal moment of SB 52 had deluded the owner into believing his own personnel meddling ways were pure genius.  I considered this correctable, once some threshold of embarrassment and failure had been met.  Doesn't look like that is the case.

Looking back.... this could explain a lot of things.

2022 is not fine.  There is only 39 players under contract and he has taken 73 million in cap space down to 43 million, and there will be further damage before the Eagles are cap compliant.

The washer fluid is NOT fine:

I don't remember a time when the Eagles were drafting this early and had a chance to get a top WR.  I dont see it happening this time either.

I am not crying about anything.  Just putting the facts out there for the Howie cult, and those who thought this would all be OK in 2022.

I've said all along it was 2023, and they'll have close to $100M that year. Easy to eat $10-20M in dead money that gets pushed out.

Even in 2022, after the restructures, they'll still have $40M or so and only a couple guys to extend.

It's not like there are that many premier FAs you can sign in any year, if you eliminate the guys over 28, maybe 1-2 1st tier and a couple 2nd tier.

There are 31 other teams out there competing for the same players.
