Are we thinking Terrace Marshall isn't going to make it to 37 now?

I dont think he was EVER going to make it to 37. Theres no reason hes not a 1st rounder.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

If Devanta Smith gets the right QB, he’s gonna be one of the best WRs in the league, if his body holds up. The guy is one of the most natural WRs ever. He was born to play that position. He’s incredibly smooth and can run full speed with his head turned completely still. But he needs a timing QB that trusts him. He’s too small to play WR in the SEC too. That didn’t stop him. Granted he’s on the best team in the nation. He’s a slight dude and I understand the questions on his size. But he has the ability to be the best in the league. Can his body hold up? Idk. But the guy is a rare talent. I’d be fine with him at 12.

Dude is about to be 23 because he went on a 2 year Latter Day Saints mission to South Korea after HS.

He does not excite me at all and maybe it’s JJAWs fault.

Same here

Could totally see Jeff falling in love with Simi too 😓

If he lets them draft another Stanford possession WR, he should sell the team.

The Athletic had an anonymous GM guess how the top 10 would go...

1. Lawrence, Jax

2. Wilson, NYJ

3. Jones, SF

4. Fields, Atl

5. Chase, Cin

6. Pitts, Mia

7. Sewell, Det

8. Surtain, Car

9. Lance, Den

10. Horn, Dal

If thats the case, could see us trying to get up a few spots for Horn. Denver taking the QB might be a good partner. They should be able to get him at 12 shouldnt they?

Absolutely agree. I'm not gonna worry about his size, the kid knows ball!!! Could take over our crap pile of a WR room and be the leader on and off the field our receiver room needs. He's no pinky, that's for sure.

Waddle or trade back if so

would have to go Parsons in that scenario, and we cant trade.

He's the one who drafted JJ

Did you forget how to spell 'forces'?

Jeff pushed JJAW on them, apparently.   Not that he's a meddler.  He's just very involved in things... on a weekly basis.

I just dont think JJAW is a guy who loves football. He was really deeply in to politics in college bumping elbows with some big people. I dont know how you get the opportunities he did while focusing 100% effort on your major D1 athletic program. Then you see his body which is not an NFL body and the lack of attention to detail in his routes. I think hes another Fireman type pick. And Im sure he blew the roof off with great interviews and can see why Lurie would love him.

Simi is a different style of WR though. Hes got better size AND explosiveness. He ran a 4.3 and you can see the speed on tape. Id be fine with that pick in the mid rounds.

If the go for a bigger WR for me its probably 1. Nico Collins, 2. Simi Fehoko

I was just looking to see if Reggie Roberson returned to school since I havent heard anything about him in quite a while. And, he did.

I dont understand that. He had a season ending injury 2 seasons in a row now. But he was a senior. Now he is taking advantage of an extra year of eligibility because of the COVID situation. So now he is significantly injury prone AND old.

I think it would have been better to enter the draft now. He probably coulda ran a 4.2 at a pretend combine or pro day and boosted stock a bit.

You're right, he should have told him to duck and run every play, like Hurts.

Better to go forward then backwards.....

If Wentz has a grievance, it should be Doug and his awful play calling in 2020 that hung him out to dry.

Drafting Chinn instead of Hurts would have had zero impact on Wentz's performance.

I think if Carson plays really well in Indy not many will think this way but it'll look bad on Doug.

Even if he came out this year he’d be old. Next year he will be 25 before the draft. No way.

Over Terrace or you're just saying among mid round guys?

Agree...on this Simi.  I was watching what I could find on Stanford’s qb and left saying wow this Simi guy is unstoppable.  Then I looked up his pro day and saw he crushed it.

As far as JJAW...performance is all that matters.  When you are a good player, being a fireman, getting a phd in your spare time, hosting jeopardy, dating celebrities, etc etc are all interesting and admirable side stories of multi-dimensional people.

When you suck...any aspect of your life that is too loud looks bad...hobbies, girlfriends, wardrobe, etc.

JJAW was a hideous pick because he’s not an nfl athlete and is a sluggish possession WR who plays to contact despite not having any strength...not because of his extra curricular pursuits.  I’m not doubting that he’s not 100% focused on football, but it’s tough to really identify that lack of drive from players in the draft; and I’m not sure extracurricular interests are always a warning sign of that.

Marshall is not really big. Of course, I like him more overall but yeah those were mid round guys, who are also big WRs.

right. hes already a senior. Now he will be a super senior with injuries. What the hell is he thinking? Not like hes gonna go back and help them win a national championship. Not like hes gonna go back and become a 1st rounder.

Theyre not always.

Im saying, in hindsight. Seeing how his body has not developed for the NFL. He has trouble lining up, or running routes properly... and you know how much time he spent in politics during his college career. It seems he doesnt devote enough attention to football.

Then you have Vernon and Vontae Davis. Vontae was big in to interior design. Vernon I think is a big artist. But also owns a jamba juice. Also excellent in curling and has had some sort of affiliation with the US curling team in the past. And he still kept his body in freak peak condition and had a long career.

Are all these things confirmed? If so, that’s the opposite of who I thought he was, and the opposite of what I prefer as a fan.

In fact, I was thinking about it earlier today. I spend a lot of time watching videos of draft pick after draft pick every year, instead of doing other productive things. If, once again, they go rogue on draft picks I’m supposed to talk myself into, that the fanbase hates, and that are generally considered reaches, idk how much longer I can keep up my year long fandom. I’m not saying I quit on the team. But if I don’t get all involved in pre-draft stuff, then I can’t be disappointed and can just let it play out, stress-free. It seems now, each year, I evaluate these players and every year, the Eagles draft players that are widely considered reaches and they turn out that way. That’s stressful. The happiest football fans I know only care during the season. But then again, they don’t know anything about football. So I guess I’ll always be this way. I just wish they’d draft better

Vernon Davis is into curling?!

What I don’t understand...what the heck would make any meddlesome owner force pick JJAW?

Usually owners fall in love with either workouts or NCAA stars that achieved big names while in college.

What in the serious F led him to JJAW?

He’s 6’3” or 6’4” and 200 lbs. I don’t see how much different that is than 6’0” 170. But whatever

Great question.   Maybe his political connections?   Who knows what goes through Lurie's head?
