I don't think Lurie expects to make the playoffs the next two seasons.

Rather, what he wants to see are a lot of young players arriving and succeeding. You're not going to hit on every draft pick, but the Eagles need a repeat of 2012-2013:

2012:  Cox (12), Kendricks (46), Curry (59), Foles (88), Kelly OT (153)

2013:  Lane (4), Ertz (35), Logan (67), Barkley (98), Poyer (218)

plus Cedrich Thornton UDFA, Tobin (UDFA)

If you have some extra waistline, I'd invest in a Kelce or Cox jersey now.  You can wear it when you go to Canton in about 8-10 years.

If your still in shape, I'd wait for the draft to conclude.  Unless you need one right now, then I'd go with Graham.

 

It's really a sad statement that we don't have anyone under 25 years old that is a sure thing to be a fixture on the team for at least five more seasons.

The reality is that Lurie is going to blame Howie before he blames himself.  So even if Lurie is the one with the bad ideas - I am sure he will change the narrative in his own mind to blame Howie rather than himself at some point.

I don't know about that.  Lurie's love for Howie runs deep. It's almost like Lurie is holding Howie's arms out while on the Titanic while "My Heart Will Go On" plays.

Honestly, he should. Howie is paid to be the gm. Howie needs to make the decisions, if Jeff steps on that Howie needs to remind Jeff of that.
