first off, injuries are part of the problem, 3 injuries in one year, not a good look for future success. 

Secondly he was part of the Problem Wentz lost his confidence, not part of the solution.

I have always appreciated ertz. He’s a good tight end and has been very productive for the eagles before this season. But this season is going to tarnish a lot of the good he did here. You can watch some plays from last night where if he’s giving full effort then I’d be absolutely shocked. This season he just has looked out of it from the opening game. I get the feeling like he was trying to play not to get seriously hurt knowing he wasn’t going to be financially secured long term by the eagles.

Lol the only good deep ball I saw thrown to him was week 1. After that it was all downhill.

Zero.  They have to shave a ton off the cap, and you can't keep oft injured players at those cap numbers.  Youth movement needs to start ASAP.

I agree. I think we trade back. The only lineman worth 6th is Sewell. He is a franchise changer.

This team is broke dude, this year really took a toll on players and coaches. The well ran dry really quick and although guys like Kelce and Ertz have had their moments where we want to strangle them, them staying out on the field that late does have to sink with Lurie some. Pederson brought the spark back in this locker room after Chip ruined it, but god I didn't see it going downhill this fast, this was a bad year.

FWIW, Walterfootball seems to really like Jaycee Horn for the Eagles at 6. I don't know anything about him since I didn't watch South Carolina at all this year.

Of course they are.  All that twelve personnel changes with Ertz gone and JJAW becomes a hybrid WR/TE.  He can catch and he can block.  I call that an HBack.  Reagor can get open.  He shows promise.  Giving up on him would be silly.  Now, Press Taylor was our passing game coordinator.  He has to go.  Can’t coach up QBs and passing game deteriorated under his guidance.

Part of the problem. Not WAS THE PROBLEM. If you dont think having arguably the Leagues worst wr's doesn't affect the QB you are just devoid of ability to be objective.

I can’t say i didn’t see it going downhill. I thought they were trending in the wrong direction in 2019 and the end of the season was complete fools gold where they were lucky they got to play the giants twice, Washington and dak had a bum shoulder in the Dallas game. You cannot consistently sustain success when you aren’t hitting on picks and also trading them away for quick fixes. It eventually always catches up too you. The eagles were always going to have to pay the piper. They finally did.

I didn’t predict or see wentz would play as poorly as he did but i did think this team was going to need a 2 year rebuild after last year to get back to being a legit contender. I thought maximum wins they would get could be 9 but really they were more of a 7-8 win team if they didn’t get destroyed by injury. They really don’t have a great amount of young talent due to poor drafting so the transition from the end of this era of eagles football was always going to be rougher than people imagined

Our WRs were better than last season. Don’t try to blame a rookie WR for the faults of Wentz.

But they could potentially need to be making franchise defining decisions on Hurts this offseason. They wanted to lose but they also wanted to get Hurts as many snaps as possible to assist in the evaluation. 3 and 3/4 games isn't enough but every snap helps.

I have zero issue with what Doug did last night. Ideally WAS would have blown us away by then. And be a 1pm game. But WAS sucks. So we are where we are. The rest of the league can kick up a fuss with their double standards but until someone takes away a draft pick, who cares?
