I'm glad we didn't draft a QB and even happier we didn't move up to do so.  We obviously still have holes that need filled especially at CB but I'll take Smith.

Well, that was fun reading. Being a home worker has some perks...

Smith is a good pick, but the reaction from some is understandable.  The lack of success at drafting WRs and the general murky process/accountability in recent years has let some considerable frustration build up.  I am glad Howie didn't spunk more picks to go higher, but his glee at mentioning it made me want to slap him. That numb nuts keeps thinking this team is a pick few away, rather than a wasteland in some areas of the team. 

I just hope today, some depth can be added in.

As for the Packers. They are trolling Rodgers hard with that pick.

We have the 5th pick in the 2nd round with JOK, Moehrig and Samuel still available.   I'm hoping Jacksonville and Miami go offensive line.  With the guys available I don't want to trade back this morning. My first two choices are Moehrig and JOK.

Throw in Barmore and Ojulari and we are in a great position to add another difference maker to this team. I'm hoping it's a defensive pick.

Today is tricky, there is no standout player but a bunch of guys who might work out. Now you focus more on value than specific players, unless someone fell that you had much higher on your board.

I never thought the Eagles would go CB round 1. Howie seems fixated on emulating the Chiefs. That being said, I really liked the Smith pick. I know he’s a toothpick but the talent is undeniable. 
 

I think I preferred Slater but I’ll take it.

He also moved from #6 to #12 and then back to #10 and in the process picked up an extra first next year! And drafted a guy who was in the talks about being traded at #6. So yeah he does deserve some credit there. I'm not celebrating Howie and I still want him out but credit where credit is due. All you are doing is proving you are a pure Howie hater.

I think it’s more so ppl getting excited for a WR, a WR they know for that matter.

The other thing with Smith is both Smith and Hurts have the off the chart work ethic and love of the game. That will go a long way to winning over the veterans on offense as well as setting the tone for players like Fulgham and Reagor and the projects on the roster.

Smith is growing on me quickly. Glad we finally drafted an Alabama guy!
