Prove it.  What time in the morning did your grandmother get up to make a gravy?

Sorry, did I stumble into a prove your heritage thread? You're being super weird my man. However I'll indulge you... I don't know what time she got up to make gravy, but my mother used to start cooking down Jersey tomatoes around 9-10ish.

I read stuff like this and think I should figure out a way to develop a website where people have to put their money where their mouth is. A couple of years...I'll take the over!

The over on which? Whether it takes the Iggles more than two years, or that this guy lasts more than two years? I'd take the over on the first option, honestly. I think it will take longer. But if this guy is just a place-holder until they get better, he also may last longer.

Seriously, I am more concerned with the drafting and fitness staff than the coaches calling the plays.

Agreed, but I will state it does seem like Lurie’s hires generally have early success, but I don’t think they ever had cap issues like this before.

He's here more than 2 years. If they wanted a placeholder I think they would have hired Duce, assuming Wentz wouldn't have taken his ball and gone home if he was the hire.

Well, I hope he turns out great to be honest, and wins multiple Super Bowls! No sarcasm intended.

Nice - I hope you appreciate how good you had it.

I'm getting more of an Andy Reid hire type of a vibe.  Not saying that he'll ever be able to achieve what AR did, but he seems to have a lot of the qualities of AR that impressed the brass - attention to detail, good ideas re staffing, working with QB's.

This screams Lurie finding a young guy that will do as told and not get in the way of what Roseman wants to do during a complete rebuild.

Roseman leading a rebuild?  God help us....

You do have to credit him for undoing the Chip Kelly team....what he did was remarkable.

I like Roseman for Free Agency.  He shouldn't be involved in drafting players.  That's clearly not his specialty, but damn if he doesn't know how to make trades.

Ok Howie.

Uh you do realize hiring Frank's OC is a very big sign we are keeping Wentz right?

And maybe keeping Sudfeld....

If they want to hep him out, have a good draft.

Howie has that worked out on the last few years.....

Fire Howie.

He had a couple good years there, but he sold out the future for the present.  Piss poor drafting finally caught up to him as many of his free agent pickups got repeatedly hurt, paid handsomely to sit in the ice bath and on the bench taking up a roster spot and then forced into retirement....now we sit here with a decimated team and no young talent.  Glad he got lucky one season and we finally got a Lombardi, but I don't trust him much more in FA than the draft.

Which trade since 2017 does it for you, golden tate for a 3rd or genard Avery for a 4th? The trade up for pumphrey? Such a trade genius, that Howie

Check out the video embedded in this link.  Dan Orlovsky said his sources called Sirianni the steal coaching hire of this cycle (even if Jeff McLane said he's smart but not super smart)

https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/30753841/philadelphia-eagles-hiring-nick-sirianni-head-coach-sources-say

I don't know if that's good or bad. Dan has been a fool all year with his Wentz obsession.

Man, this is such a ridiculous thing for a "source” to say.

Heck, the visor is hella ghey

why isn't there anything on our own site confirming the hire?

I’m not getting any vibe other than wait and see. This guy has a lot of crap to deal with. A quarterback controversy, plus meddling owner, and a GM who thinks he’s better than he really is to go with a rabid fan base, with unforgiving media. This isn’t the Midwest, sunny San Diego or upstate New York. Buddy is in the hot seat now.

Those guys are asses, the coach doesn’t need to be a Nuclear Physicist, he just has to be smarter than Rob Chudzinski and Jeff Stone.

Conversation during interview:

Lurie: Nick no one has interviewed you so you have no leverage. This is what you will get paid. Shut your mouth and listen to Howie.

Howie: I will tell you who is in your damn coaching staff and I will you who the hell will be on the roster. You will always say "Yes” and you will always take the fall. Get it? Got it? Good! Welcome to the Eagles!

Why do think Sirianni was given a bottle of lubricant at the door before the interview?

This is where Howie's strengths come in. Restructure a few contracts...and kick the can down the road.

Howie has a new scapegoat

Howie already survived the firing of 2 Super Bowl winning and another winning coach. The rumors that Howie is Satan are confirmed.
