What I'll never understand is when this happened at Penn State, the entire country was out for blood. Joe Paterno who was a decent man who did very little wrong was absolutely crucified. The same thing happens at OSU and literally no one cares. Jordan who was far more complicit than Paterno was gets rewarded and elected to congress.

Paterno stayed with the University. If he had quit coaching and ran for office as a Republican, he would have been protected.

What happens if they can't break this stale mate?  This round is going just like to others it seems

Even Fox News is saying that McCarthy is going to have to cut a deal with the Dems.

Either McCarthy steps down or they go to a plurality vote.

Nothing.  They either adjourn or start a new round.  This thing took months back in the day.

An option but unlikely.

Unlikely but so is McCarthy backing down for Scalise or someone else.

They can just keep spinning.

@Gannan I am sure you know.

In regards to removing the speaker of the house, how does the process work ??

Does the majority have to vote for his removal, and then the same voting process goes into effect for a new speaker ??

Perry almost missed the vote because he was on FoxNews 🤡

Bishop trotted that same line out this morning on Morning Joe when he was being interviewed while saying the Democrats were awful for calling him a prop.  Of course he didn't list any other skill or experience that would qualify him to be a good speaker, but he used Donalds to hint at the "real racists" nonsense.

C-SPAN reported that "Trump for Speaker" is now trending on Twitter.

It's Donalds' second term. Of course he's a prop.
