Couldn't hear who she voted for but Boebert just voted for an "Other"

Now Boebert voted for Kevin Hern, and now a second Hern vote.

Lots of people now googling who the ef Kevin Hern is..

Wikipedia sez....

Hern was ranked number 7 in the United States House of Representatives by total number of stock trades while in office between January 2020 and January 2022 and he violated the STOCK Act in 2021.

Haha.  We are talking about this in my office, and laughing at the dysfunction.  The Trump crowd that I work with are sitting silently and offering no input.  They know Trump turned the Republican party into a laughing stock and there is nothing they can say at this point.

Kevin Hern is backing McCarthy and has no interest in being the speaker :roll::roll::roll::roll::roll:

HUNTER BIDEN FOR SPEAKER OF THE HOORS!!!  :worthy:

BOMBSHELLZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

Why is Byron Donalds not stepping down after losing 1 of his 20 votes, but McCarthy is supposed to step down losing 1 of his 200 votes :roll::roll::roll::roll:

Is there some strategy in the candidates the MAGAt caucus nominates? Jordan, Biggs, Donalds, Hern?

Or are they picking random names to see who sticks?

What I'll never understand is when this happened at Penn State, the entire country was out for blood. Joe Paterno who was a decent man who did very little wrong was absolutely crucified. The same thing happens at OSU and literally no one cares. Jordan who was far more complicit than Paterno was gets rewarded and elected to congress.

Exactly. How there was no outrage over this and investigations on every level to get to the bottom of this is beyond me.

I mean, the members of the team came out publicly and said they told Gym Jordan about being abused. He knew about it and did nothing and gets elected. Something stinks there.

@Gannan I am sure you know.

In regards to removing the speaker of the house, how does the process work ??

Does the majority have to vote for his removal, and then the same voting process goes into effect for a new speaker ??

There is no speaker right now, that's the thing. Congress can't even get sworn in or operate. It's why this is so ridiculous. Or do you mean if htey voted in McCarthy, can they get rid of him? One of the sticking points is the rogue republicans want to make it super easy to fire him.

Yeah, the procedure to remove a speaker once we get past this is what I wanted to know.

One was football, the other was wrestling. It is what it is. PSU football is a massive national program. College wrestling is something nobody pays attention to.

Gaetz nominated Trump in the 7th Round of voting. He got 3 votes. McCarthy lost again in the 8th Round. 21 voted against him this round. A 9th round will be needed possibly later tonight.

Cause as Speaker he would order executions.

The Dems should get 4 or 5 who are early in the roll call to vote for McCarthy just to see the panic on the face of Boebert and Gaetz

It's part of what's up for debate.

A speaker can be removed by a motion to vacate. This is how Boehner was ousted by the freedom caucus.

Pelosi made a rule change when she last took the speakership that required a majority of the caucus to file a motion to vacate, stabilizing the office.

One of the concessions these morons want to make is to reduce that so that something like 5 members of the same caucus can file a motion to vacate, which I believe would force another speakership vote during a congressional cycle.

The motion to vacate wasn't much used until freedom caucus losers used it to force sensible speakers like Boehner and Ryan out. Pelosi's rule change reduces the power of the crazies to force their will on the (vast) majority, and the cuck McCarthy agreed to that. And they STILL won't vote for him.

That is ridiculous.  If you have to be approved by a majority, you should have to be removed by a majority.

I tend to agree.

Again, we can thank the tea party dopes who elected freedom caucus members - predating Trump - for making Washington even worse than it was before.

Trumpism is the tea party after watching Idiocracy and thinking "President Camacho had it right"

Finally, Troy Nehls calling out the 20 idiots.

Why do they just keep voting? McCarthy doesn't have the votes. He moved nobody since they started voting Tuesday. Adjourn, regroup, and start reaching out to make some deals.

Nehls almost said "hold Republicans accountable"
