I'm ready to take my kid. He's ready too. The plague is already circulating amongst schoolkids.

How bad do you hear are the symptoms among the kids?

In the ones that die, pretty bad.

Everything from barely a sniffle to MIS-C, and death.

That's besides the point. We are getting vaccinated to protect others in addition to ourselves.

I hate these stupid frames people use on social media for causes - great way  to convince anti-vaxxers we aren't all brainwashed like a bunch of people acting like they're brainwashed.

Wow. You really are this dumb, huh? It's not all just an act?

Completely depends on how much livestock dewormer they took that morning.

I really hope Procus does not have kids. And if he does I hope he is an absent father, for their sakes.

So will you'll be lying on your booster shot application again, or are you covered with your first lie?

I haven't even "applied" yet, you dingleberry. But amusing to see lying is such a virtue for you while you supported one of the worst offenders to have ever held office.

How is one thing like another in this case?

The immune system can generate antibodies in a similar fashion despite the pathogens being different. There's also the training of memory B-cells that can enhance the durability of the immune response if you're primarily concerned about protection from severe disease only.

Much like we are finding out now that the j&j vaccine should've been a two dose regimen all along, we're also finding out that a longer interval in the mRNA doses provides more durable immunity. Very possible that a 3rd dose might not have to be followed up with another booster for multiple years. A lot of factors will play into that, like mutation rate, age of the person, levels of spread, etc, but it's hardly a forgone conclusion that we will be stuck with annual boosters forever.

Good, easier for me to get appts for my kids.

So - to sum up - your short answer is that you have no idea how many boosters it may take to secure immunity - and relating it to Hep B vaccines is a reach?

Wat? Did I touch a nerve? Did boosters bully you in grade school? Don't get a booster if you don't want one. Not now or in the future, for covid or anything else. Own the libs by gambling with your own health. That'll show them!

  You just got triggered by a reasonable comparison between two vaccines.  Who hurt you?

It's a completely reasonable comparison.  If you can't follow basic medical discussions maybe just stick to Ben Garrison cartoons. Seems like more your pace.

Does the idea of boosters in general usually get you angry and all worked up, or was it the the fact that someone explained the answer to your question so easily that upset you?

I'm pretty sure I touched the nerve little fellow.  Neither the disease progression, nor the infectious agents, nor the vaccines are remotely similar - so projecting number of boosters based on the immmune response to the HepB is premature at the very least.  To say otherwise would be disingenuous, no?

Not triggered - I just asked how he arrived at his quantum leap to conclusion.

You libs are ultra sensitive - get out and get some fresh air Brother.

To be fair, Napoleon's vaccine predictions have been spot on so far. I remember around 6 months ago, I predicted the Covid vaccine would become similar to the yearly flu shot. Little dude corrected me with a book about why that would never happen and that some combination of the vaccine and natural immunity would stop it. Well, turns out we were both wrong. My yearly prediction was giving the long term efficacy of the vaccine wayyyy too much credit.

I've been saying for awhile now that COVID is most likely to become endemic. I've also said that, as long as we're able to manage the disease to keep it treatable and its case levels at predictable levels on a yearly and seasonal basis, that this is still a WIN. If that requires yearly shots/boosters, so be it.

I can only guess that the Garrison cartoons hurt them as much as the F Biden or let's go Brandon chants. There was a lot of pent up aggression mixed in there.
