Typo in my post, should've said more false negatives than false positives. As for exposure, if you have a good fitting kn94 or better, you should be okay. But yeah, 15s in each nostril, then a good squeeze into the buffer before squirting a few drops onto to the strip. Don't sweat the one she already did too much, you can always do one again tomorrow if you think it wasn't done right.

Took another one and said she definitely did it right this time, still negative. Maybe it's flu. Hopefully she gets the PCR results relatively soon.

Saw the conversation about who should be receiving transplant surgeries and remembered this story from a few days ago. Regardless of what people think it's pretty amazing how this can even be possible. I wonder how long this guy is going to last since transplant human organs sometimes don't even take let alone a genetically modified pig heart.

As I suspected, the Swedish national health agency has just declared that we are likely to run two more weeks of restrictions and then drop everything given the ubiquity of Omincron across the nation.  We are experiencing as much as 5% of the population per week being added to the list of people affected and that builds on top of six weeks of rampant Omicron plus a very high level of vaccination.  This follows the lead of Denmark who announced the same situation and who are lifting all of their restrictions heading into next week.

Overall, we've handled this surge very well.  Everything is still operating and running and the shelves in the grocery stores are normal. We've had some instance of closure of local schools due to personnel sickness and we've had minor disruption in regional trains also due to a lack of personnel who have been quarantining.  Everything else has been fine, the hospitals have not been overrun, and deaths have been minimal and not even 10% of the earlier waves.  On the anecdotal level, all of my friends have the same story as I do and that of my wife.  80% of people have been able to keep right on working at home while some have missed a day or two.  Some rare isolated cases of people missing up to a week of time and some of those people also had the flu.

It's super weird and sad/pathetic how many people seem to WANT to get it, or at least test positive so they can tweet about it.  Two negative tests already?  Can't be right, better get a third!  

My wife's one co-worker and her husband were both sick over the holidays, both tested negative MULTIPLE times, and she is STILL telling people that she had COVID.  Says "she just KNOWS that's what it was"
