With countries like Italy fumbling the vaccine rollout do you still say end of pandemic by end of year?

I always thought inoculation and vaccination were interchangeable, perhaps mistakenly. Jenner using cow pox or tiny amounts of open pox sores was called something else specifically, but I forget what the term was.

Follow up, it was variolation I was thinking of.

As long as he doesn't give me "it puts the lotion in the basket" vibes I'll consider it a step up from Dennis.  Although I liked his music choices so maybe I'll give him another shot. Maybe cover the screen so he can't look directly into my soul.

I considered getting a peloton but I'm a bit concerned it'll become an expensive towel rack. I've never been able to consistently work out indoors at home. I can do the bikes at the gym, but that's in the context of a broader workout and it's easier to get into the working out frame of mind there. So many distractions at home.

I understand you can get the peloton program independent of the bike. Might look into that, and if I'm able to get myself hooked I'll be less apprehensive about buying the full deal.

How about a pair or two of kettlebells? I used them a lot this winter to maintain my cardio and minimal muscle loss.

I’ve had an injury that’s prevented me from getting on the bike for awhile - but I miss it tons and can’t wait to get back to it. I don’t even like working out but I look forward to it. There is music, instructors, levels, types of workouts for everyone. Sam Yo is my favorite. I don’t mind Denis but he’s a little intense - in a weird personality way not necessarily a workout way. I love Ally Love and Robin went to Villanova so I’ll sometimes do her workouts because of the local connection. I also like Tunde and Hannah Frankson.

We had the second shot yesterday. It’s made me feel very flu like. I’ve been in a lot of joint pain, headache, nausea, fever and not able to sleep. paco on the other hand has taken about 3 naps and keeps blissfully sleeping away - Bastid.

Did my first Dennis ride today...what the F?  Good work out by I'm at least 70% sure he's a serial killer.  This gif doesn't do it justice but the creepy 1000-yard stares are very Patrick Bateman-y

Was it a Power Zone ride? If so, try Matt Wilpers. I do his 60 minute Power Zone rides and 90 minute Power Zone Endurance rides. The music is all request, so kinda all over the place. But the rides are fantastic. Power Zone rides are the best thing going on Peloton - very scientifically driven to produce results. Just finished a 60 minute PZ, 30 min low impact and 10 minute cool down. Added the cool down as a gift to myself.

Dennis and Matt taught a 60 minute ride together in January 2020. Fun ride.

I am the opposite. I loathe working out around others. At home I can sweat, yell, whatever. Having a home gym is heaven for me. When I travel, I either go stupid early to the gym or pay to have a Peloton moved into my room.

I also love Cody Rigsby but I’m guessing virtually 0% of you would like his workouts

I wake up for an hour and then fall asleep for two.  Wake up for another hour, fall asleep for another two.  Repeat.

I'm going to get my 3rd shot scheduled ASAP

Matt is the scrawny guy that reminds you that he coached competitive cyclists and has you do part of the ride with one leg every single ride right?

Yeah, I avoid his.

We just freed up a room in our cellar area that is perfect for a bike and my wife has been after me to get one.  I think the time is right.

Variolation?

Just saw your second post. We smart 😃

So, every variolation is an inoculation, but not every inoculation is a variolation? Or the terms are interchangeable, but Jenner coined the latter?

I'll definitely check it out.  Mostly been doing the HIIT rides because they tend to be the ones that kick my arse the most but still figuring out the instructors/ride types that work best.

I like Cody

Doesn't kick my arse as much as some of the other rides but sometimes it's fun to workout to crappy 90s-2000s pop.  And unlike Dennis I'm not worried he's going to turn my skin into a lamp.

Well I was gonna say probably some of you boos probably like him

He’s fun and often over the top which can be a funny distraction that makes the workout more entertaining.

Siggi is a great Icelandic yogurt for sure. I have been using Coco Whip, dairy free, with some fresh fruits and a healthy granola most mornings with a protein shake. It works

Be careful with consuming to much coconut oil it has some good fats in it but it also has a lot of saturated fats. When that became a big thing my dad was using coconut oil for a lot of things and his bad cholesterol went through the roof. I was also just advised to stay away from it as well with my cholesterol. It's not considered so healthy anymore.

This happened to me too! I totally cut out dairy on the recommendation of my fertility specialist. Gluten too. When you get into that lifestyle you tend to sub a lot of coconut milk for dairy. I was literally putting it in my coffee everyday and everything else. I have thyroid disease which causes me to have elevated cholesterol even on the strictest of diets. My cholesterol and my liver enzymes went through the roof. I cut out red meat to only once every other week and cut out all the coconut milk and oil and my liver enzymes went back to normal. My cholesterol is still higher than ideal but it’s not as bad.

I don't use it to its full potential with the stretching abs weights etc but I can do most of that stuff at the Y well.  My issue personally when the weather gets cold my cardio goes to crap.  Love running outside but I'm crap at motivating myself on gym bikes/treadmills indoors. Which is kind of a problem up in new england, and I can imagine most of Sweden too.  I can do 20 minutes on the peleton that works me out harder than 90 minutes of self directed cardio exercise.  Highly recommend.

Yes! my liver enzymes were also a reason they told me to stay away. They start these freaking health fads then you realize it's absolute crap for you lol. I just stick with proven foods and liquids.

Working in a grocery store I know immediately when something is trending and I'll go google whatever item seems to be all of a sudden blowing off the shelves and there it is DR OZ says this is the next big thing in health lol.

For awhile everything coconut related flew off the shelves and then slowly it just died off when people realized it was actually crap lol. I don't get anyone asking for coconut stuff anymore.

Yup.  It's better than using cream/half-and-half daily sure, but people went hog wild on it like it was guilt free and well...

That coco whip is a solid dessert alternative though.  As long as you have a realistic expectation of dessert should be.

When we lived in the city we were two blocks from the largest gym chain in town and I did a ton of spinning all winter.  I can see myself getting back into that.

I'm mostly limited to long brisk walks and saunas for five months out of the year.  We have a sauna in our cellar area so quite convenient.  Not exactly a workout but it does help to take away stress, etc.

I feel like reddi whip is so low cal and sugar that it’s better than most dessert toppings. Because it’s aerosol a little goes a long way. I will just have sliced strawberries with some on top and maybe add in natural pb or 75% dark chocolate if I’m feeling crazy.

I just use unsweetened almond milk in my coffee now. It’s not as creamy but whatever - I’m drinking it for the coffee and caffeine mostly.

Put it with some sugar free pudding and as healthy dessert as you can get.

I don’t eat anything with artificial sweeteners which I think most sugar free puddings have. I would rather just have berries or peaches. Ice cream on occasion. I haven’t consumed artificial sweeteners since I went cold turkey on Diet Coke 6 years ago.

Oat milk is solid for coffees FWIW.  I know it's trendy and kinda dewshy but personally I like it more than almond.
