No the worst would be a glimpse into your outlook of the future.

My outlook is in some way everyone being coerced into the vaccine and the pandemic ending, then the sun exploding and killing everyone, happy times

Nobody should be forced to get vaccines where the possible long-term effects are unknown. Nobody.

Personally, I trust the science and would stand in line for Pfizer, Moderna, J&J, AstraZeneca, etc. I would never be dismissive of people who choose otherwise.

I would.  I'm fighting with my brother about this right now.  He's a huge liberal who's always been insanely paranoid about the gov't/CIA/whatever.  Has never gotten a cell phone, won't get a vaccine.  It's like arguing with a child.

I'm sorry, but in order for this to work, we need people to let go of their paranoid conspiracies.  People need to man up and get the shot.

My cousin that had throat cancer and is over weight will let god handle it instead of getting the vaccine, these are the types of people we are dealing with

I can't be mad at people for questioning a vaccine developed on such a short timeline.

Most of the anti vaxxers are just opposed to them no matter what

That's fine but I know for a fact all of the people who are not getting the vaccine aren't just anti-vaxxers.

I can.  I mean, question all you want, but get the damn thing.

Look, under normal circumstances, I'd agree, but the fact is we need people to buy in here.  They're just gonna have to get over it for the good of the country.

My brother's not in a high risk category.  He's in his mid-40's but he's never been married or had any kids that he knows of, is a vegetarian, not overweight, works out regularly.  But still he needs to get it.  His conspiracies are based on paranoia, not logic.  What's the worst that could happen?  He runs out a buys a PC and an X-Box?

Good luck getting everyone that got the vaccine to get another shot, no way we get 100% compliance plus the anti vaxxers again get ammo to say the vaccine does not work so why get it they will say

Initially yes, but now given we have millions of people who took it and it’s proven safe?

I can at least be disappointed in their having zero concept of sacrifice, especially in a circumstance with the risks being infinitesimally low.

This really isn't difficult. Want to get people to take the vaccine? Simple. Anyone who gets COVID after 9/30/21 and wasn't vaccinated (assuming they were eligible) will not have their medical care covered by Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, etc. If you choose to be irresponsible, then deal with the consequences of your actions.

Now, that would be easiest, but it will never happen. Luckily, the market will step in. Want to fly on a plane? Show proof of vaccination. Go to a baseball game? Concert? School? Chuck E Cheese? Make those who choose to be idiots sit in their homes all day. Government can't force someone to get a vaccine, but businesses are free to refuse service to anyone they want.

Well, dude, 6 people got clots out of over 7 million. Clearly it's not safe.

We will be left with forced vaccinations or an ongoing pandemic thanks to the idiots

You might be right that it might take decades for it to be totally gone. Forced vaccinations are never going to happen. Public schools can require it, and even employers once it has passed the emergency authorization stage. I think the rest of us will probably have to get an annual booster which will reasonably protect us. It's going to be a long long time before I do what any of those Texas Rangers fans are doing.

Once vaccinated I will accept the risk, If i can still get it but not bad ok and If i can get it and pass it along to the anti vaxxers well then I have done a service to our country

Someone spin this into good news

https://news.yahoo.com/america-is-about-to-hit-a-vaccine-wall-as-demand-drops-with-or-without-johnson-johnson-162241805.html

"Vaccination rates will then slow, and Surgo’s projections show that if what Americans now say about their preferred timelines for getting vaccinated is true — "as soon as it’s available,” "in three months,” "in a year,” "don’t know” and "would not get vaccinated” — overall U.S. coverage will plateau around 52 percent of the population by July. When combined with people who have already been infected, the overall immunity rate overall may hit 65 percent by then, according to Surgo — still not high enough for herd immunity."

Some insurance carriers already give incentives for healthy behavior, like gift cards for hitting weight and exercise goals, etc. They could and should do the same with vaccines. Something like a $100 gift card after proving you've been vaccinated wouldn't get everyone on-board, but it would give a lot of those fence sitters a good push.

The $100 gift card strategy is not the answer to herd immunity , only locking these people out of society is and it will be done if that is the last resort which it will be

Morons, The country is full of them
