I don’t get why so many people are still wearing mask tbh.  The whole reason I got vaccinated was so I could stop wearing those stupid things on my face.

For me, I have 2 kids that are not vaccinated. They both have a history of breathing problems - my son has asthma and went weeks on end needing a rescue inhaler every night so he could fall asleep. My daughter had RSV when she was less than a year old, and my wife and I watched her lay in a hospital bed struggling to breathe for 3 days. Watching and administering breathing treatment one after another hoping to see her struggle lessen. Until they have studies showing that the J&J vaccine prevents my wife and I from spreading the virus to others, in the unlikely chance that we get it, I'm going to do what I can to make sure that I don't out my kids in that situation. So I still wear my mask unless everyone around me is fully vaccinated, I still ask unvaccinated family members to wear masks around us, and I still limit my time in stores by doing as much shopping online as possible.

Fully understandable in your case.  I don't blame you for being cautious and protecting your children who may be particularly vulnerable to the virus.  My kids don't have any underlying health issues, so in my case I'm not particularly concerned given the statistics for kids.

I have an 11-y-o who isn’t eligible yet.  So I still like her to wear one.  We went to Jo Ann fabrics last night though and I didn’t wear a mask in the store.

 I love the part after this where you see him visibly gasping for air. What a F'ing assclown. Good riddance.

Lighting masks on fire re-animates the virus and you’ll get it from inhaling the smoke 😂

I still wear a mask in stores only because I don't know which ones still require them or not. We're in this weird transition phase for now. Should clear up in a few weeks though.

Both my kids are still too young.  They still have to wear them for school and indoor sports activities.

My kids are too young to get vaccinated but having them wear masks is completely pointless because their mask protects you, not them (or did we forget that whole lecture we got from the health dept). If the adults who are pretending to be vaccinated so they don’t wear a mask carry the virus into the store, then what’s the point of having my kids masked?  And if You’re not vaccinated and choosing not to wear a mask because the rules are lifted and "nobody is checking cards at the door” then you’re clearly not afraid of catching it from my kids if they happen to carry it in with them.  We’re right back to the beginning when people ignore the whole reason for wearing the mask to begin with.

It protects them too. Depends on the type of mask and how well it's fitted, but even a cloth mask can filter out anywhere from 30% to 80% of particles (0.3 microns.)

Yeah I pretty much just go prepared and feel it out. Went grocery shopping this weekend without, was nice. Though the mask never truly bothered me, at least not in the limited time frames I had to wear it.

Doing two days out in the world and three days a week from home now.

It is very good to be out again. Except driving to NJ and back. That sucks.

Yesterday was the first day I was able to go back into the office of my favorite client (the one where I get to work with NASA and other space agencies.) It was magical. We get so much more done all of us sitting in the security operations center. Looking left and asking a question and getting an answer from a person is so much better than email, text or zoom.

My mask protects you more than it protects me, but it does still provide some level of protection for me.

The choices are probably "Peanut butter sandwich" or "Buttered Noodles"

Well What I want for dinner and can afford are two different things, Once he lets me know what I want I will cross that bridge

but do they have enough guns?

Sounds like they are trying to get their stock price higher and the media is being complicit

But has the rise of the coronavirus variants already been priced into these stocks? You might think that's the case for Moderna and BioNTech. The biotech stocks have soared nearly 80% and more than 150% year to date, respectively. Pfizer's shares, though, are up only 5% this year.

However, all three of these stocks trade at low forward-earnings multiples. If the coronavirus continues to mutate and force the need for new variant-specific vaccines to keep the pandemic at bay, Moderna, Pfizer, and BioNTech could have plenty of room to run.

Probably McDonald's again.

A big mac and watch people go into staples again, sounds like a plan
