The further we go into this thing (even deaths by people we know our age) doesn’t seem to sway their opinions at all. I believe in the "right” of someone to choose but that doesn’t force me to "respect or agree” with their decision…not when their decision is adding to the poisonous conspiracy theories that are costing the lives of thousands of people. 😞

But, if this is someone who isn't the general method is to ask about the root of their concerns. Start with open ended questions and although it is very very tempting try not to be judgemental about their responses even if it's something you know isn't true. Let them have their space to talk. Listen to their responses so you can better understand why they feel the way they do. Then instead of correcting what they were wrong about, turn it into a conversation about why you decided to get vaccinated and the research/thought that went into that decision. Use this time to correct any misinformation they presented and if possible be specific about studies/recommendations. Avoid politics and try not to let things get heated, let them understand it's coming from a place of concern not judgement. People hate feeling/looking stupid. TL;DR: basically the opposite of how we approach the subject in CVON. Good luck.
