Funny how capitalism suddenly became evil because Trump says so.

Yeah. Honestly I was expecting Pfizer to money bag it up and charge hundreds per shot. Fourteen and change is nothing.

Like F make people pay that. Under $30 to be fully vaccinated.

Actually. Not only that. Do the @vikas83 plan and pull out the Medicaid/Insurance rug out and then make people pay for it.

You tell me.  Bottom line, Trump was absolutely right, it is a money making operation. Doesn’t mean it’s not necessary, but you can’t discount the windfall.  Well, incurious NPC’s can.

Businesses are money making operations? That's crazy!

Late to the conversation, with nothing relevant to add, as usual. Great to see you Dill.

Yes, posting one hour after you and getting actual likes on my post is late to the conversation with nothing relevant to add.

 Likes by people arguing that Pfizer wasn’t making much off the vaccine. Always sharp as a bowling ball.

That’s no small feat considering how many D’s you’ve had in your mouth over those 17 months. Congrats!

Ok. You’re as cogent as Pop Pop these days. I guess you need to spend a few days hooked up to a Prevagen IV drip like him.

Oddly enough a bottle of Prevagen is more expensive than two shots of the Pfizer vaccine.

Curious what they spent on R&D.

Found this.  Don’t know the date of the quote

Pfizer has said the research and development costs of its the vaccine approach $1 billion, and the company declined to take direct government funding.

Don't wanna be that guy, BUT let's go COVID?!

That may be a thing for you metro's.

Any advice on how to approach someone close to you about being vaccinated?  The further we go into this thing (even deaths by people we know our age) doesn’t seem to sway their opinions at all.

I believe in the "right” of someone to choose but that doesn’t force me to "respect or agree” with their decision…not when their decision is adding to the poisonous conspiracy theories that are costing the lives of thousands of people.   😞

The unfortunate reality is that most people who haven't gotten it yet are cemented in their views.  But, if this is someone who isn't the general method is to ask about the root of their concerns.  Start with open ended questions and although it is very very tempting try not to be judgemental about their responses even if it's something you know isn't true. Let them have their space to talk.  Listen to their responses so you can better understand why they feel the way they do. Then instead of correcting what they were wrong about, turn it into a conversation about why you decided to get vaccinated and the research/thought that went into that decision. Use this time to correct any misinformation they presented and if possible be specific about studies/recommendations.  Avoid politics and try not to let things get heated, let them understand it's coming from a place of concern not judgement.  People hate feeling/looking stupid.

TL;DR: basically the opposite of how we approach the subject in CVON.  Good luck.

Why is Gov. Abbott receiving Regeneron treatment if he has no COVID-19 symptoms?

He's supposedly vaccinated and has no symptoms, so why?

Why is Florida pushing experimental treatments but not the vaccine?

WTF?

Here, I’ll answer my own question

Oh, so then less than the price of a flu shot, and orders of magnitude cheaper than pediatric vaccines such as DTap, MMR, and Rotovirus.  Pretty nice of Pfizer to keep the price so low when they could have easily charged twice as much if they wanted to and still sold the same amount of product.
