There are still people who are simply not going to take it. And there are even more who got the first two doses who will absolutely not sign up for indefinite boosters. So, you can either cry that people aren't taking the vaccine or you can come up with alternative solutions.

They’ve run out of beds in several hospitals.Why would you listen to people who have zero medical expertise over people that spent years and years training? It makes no sense to me.

The status for the drug as it relates to COVID from the Japanese Health Industry is that its efficacy hasn't been established, and it does NOT recommend it. The chairman of the Tokyo medical association is not speaking for Japan or the Japanese Health Ministry.
