Isn't Drummond the dude that Embiid always had major beef with?

Yes.  Drummond is basically Embiid's beech.

idk...the bulls made a lot of moves but they have a bunch of guys who've never won a damn thing.  derozan, lavine. vuc, ball....

Ball would be perfect on this team or any team really. Only 23 and played in some crap situations last few years

Don’t get me wrong could completely fail. However i still think the moves they made this offseason made more sense and not hand out contracts to breaking down 33 Centers and try to convert him to a stretch 4

yeah, i don't mind the players the bulls acquired. i'm just not sure they're top tier guys who could lead a deep playoff run. they should be much improved though.

But building towards something. They need Patrick Williams to take a leap this year.

Sixers are regressing and others are doing it the right way to win.

It's a really weird team make up.  Some good players and borderline all-stars but none are really that inspiring besides Lavine (who has some serious defensive questions).  At least I'm not particularly enamored with their make up.  They'll be good but not going to push the top teams.

I don’t think they win a title or anything but hire roster construction actually makes sense. Meanwhile the sixers just threw money hoping to get another star ans the fit made no Fing sense. Add on they likely have nothing to show for the money they spent on horford if green bolts

That's why I think if we don't get Dame, just let the young guys get a lot of playing time and then trade Joel next off season.  Get like a million 1st's between Ben and Joel.  Morey actually knows how to draft.

go into the season with rookies & 2nd year guys in starting roles or as key backups and it might not take until the end of the season before jojo asks to be traded.

FYP

Let's face it...if Ben developed even a little on offensive we'd still possibly be ascending.  Since he decided he's a little beech who can't even stuff an open dunk, we are regressing because we're stuck with his contract and deflated value at the moment.  Until a legit All-Star/superstar shakes loose and we can get a deal done it doesn't matter.  Between the Bucks, Nets, Lakers, Clips, Suns, Nuggets, Jazz, etc...we don't stand a chance.

Don’t know about that one. These were his draft picks while in Houston. Not exactly stellar. Morris, capela, Harrell and Batum are solid players. I wouldn’t call those being your best as great

Then trade him at the deadline.  I don't really care if we win a round or 2 of the playoffs.  That does nothing for me.  If we know now that we have to start over next year, might as well start early.

Maybe I'm crazy, but I love the Drummond signing for the vet minimum. And not just for the comedy of seeing him and Embiid on the same team. He's an upgrade over Howard.

Assuming Ben isn't on the roster, I agree.

He’s better at using assets and making big trades. Frankly this whole thing is a crap show because of the dumb offseason plan with horford 2 offseason ago. Really the fultz thing i can get over because of how people thought he would become and could develop into a good player. That’s a draft miss and it also hurts. But the horford move made no Fing sense at that time and today is still a thorn in the sixers ass. Literally they had money to actually spend in FA and build a good team around guys. And sadly they pissed it down the toilet with a bum horford which everyone knew was going to blow up in their face

The Sixers are open to bringing Ben Simmons back, per @ramonashelburne

I wouldn't mind that.  Get his value up and trade him at the deadline.  Dame will be begging us to take him by then 😂

Hahahahaha i said this about 3 weeks ago this was a realistic possibility no one wanted to talk about.

frankly i think it’s more bravado then anything.

First game in Wells Fargo Arena and he bricks two FTs? Good Fing luck

To me it comes off as they blew this last week and now stuck with him

You can just stop there.  He will be boo'ed the entire game and I couldn't care less.  Play him for 10 games, and then trade him.  Maybe we get lucky and 7 out of 10 of the first games are away.

also just comes down to a GM isn't going to make an emotional decision/decisions based off of the fans emotions. And he shouldn't. What do they say about coaches? If you listen to the fans too much you'll soon be sitting with them...

Morey took a risk that Beal would have a spine and say yeah thats enough for me here to WAS, along w Dame sticking to his guns and demand out of POR, especially after they just swung and missed in FA. But Beal is seemingly on board with staying on that dog crap team, and Dame is going to just take the passive aggressive approach for now.. there's a chance that turns into the Harden approach, once POR gets out to a slow start though. And that's where Morey will still have Ben to offer who hopefully did literally anything this offseason to finally work on and evolve his game.

Lol

Ben and Drummond free throw battle. They at least have 2 guys who can't play in the 4th quarter now.

The game of knock out is going to be fascinating in practice
