I’m still a believer that Maxey can develop the PG skills he’s lacking. Right now, sure he is more of a two guard, but he’s been gradually improving over the course of the season as a PG running the offense. 

Over the last 7 games he’s averaging 7.28 assists per game in addition to his 18.4 PPG.

Everything I have heard and read Garland and Love were on the table. 

I really wouldn't care how it affected Maxey if had a chance to get either of those. Both are potential ALL Star Reserves tonight and still only 22, Garland, and 25, Murray.

IF he gets a bigger name player like Beal, hes not getting more value out of Simmons. Hes getting more value out of packaging other great assets along with Ben. Its not a win. But it looks better to those who dont really understand what it looks like when you flat out lose a negotiation.

Im in charge. There is no place for negotiating in what I do. Luckily I understand basic logic so I can be good at my job. Its scary to think others may be negotiating without any logic. Hopefully not negotiating anything important.

Blazers are doing some odd things.  They just traded for Powell.

I was just reading the relationship between Mitchell and Gobert is bad again. Passive aggressive. Gobert praised Devin Booker's defensive improvement, and Mitchell took that as a slight towards him. Windy says that is this most underplayed story in the NBA at this time. If it were a big market team it would be all over ESPN shows because its beef between 2 all star level players on the same team.

Maybe theres some outside shot at a Mitchell trade? Probably not but wishful thinking.

And Pelicans are trying to be buyers even though they arent good. A lot of uncertainty with Zion. They have a ton of draft picks to use to make a deal.

Bledsoe has one year remaining on his contract. 19.3M salary is only partially guaranteed (3.9M). Justice Winslow has 1 year left for 4M. Keon Johnson has 1 year left until a club option for the following 2 years. He will make 2.5M next season.

They just took about 10M of expiring contracts for Powell. Maybe the 1st move of a blowup.

Itd be kind of perfect since he doesnt like Ben. Ben would be gone in the trade. Ben and Gobert could go be soft cry babies together.

they just said Leonard isnt coming back this season now. So, they probably just wanted to try to fill that talent gap a little. I dont think theyre gonna trade anyone away.
