That's what I was thinking.  They can't just sign someone.  There's no stars set to become free agents. 

They'll have to trade Harris for someone. Kinda like we talked about in here the day the trade happened. 

Harris + Green and picks in the summer should be able to get something done.

Thats ballsack, but I honestly was thinking about LeBron- how likely would he be to request a trade again if they go another year without a title in LA? I know he wants to be in LA, but I think he also wants to chase more rings before he is done. Hes for sure past his prime, but Embiid, Harden, and LeBron is damn formidable still. And its kind of a fit where LeBron wont need to be that ball dominant, and he can fit at the 3, or the 4 with Embiid due to shooting. 

 

The above tweet came out in January, before Harden was a 6er. Its not a big 4. Its not even possible. And Kawhi isnt likely at all. Id actually say LeBron might be somewhat not out of the realm of possibility.

the report of the opt in was true however the paperwork did not make it in time. Hence, why he didnt actually opt in.

James Harden did not officially opt in to his deal for the 22-23 season before being traded to the Philadelphia 76ers, a source confirmed to The Athletic.

"The paperwork was filed but they did not meet the buzzer for the opt-in," said Shams Charania on The Real Ones podcast. "He still has the option to opt-in in the summer. There was a time period where he could have opted in in conjunction with the trade. They ended up not filing the paperwork in time so a little bit of a procedural situation with the paperwork."

Harden could opt-in to his $47.4 million for 22-23 in late June and then sign a four-year, $223 million extension on top of that in August.
