look at our 2022 opponents and tell me the huge upgrade at WR with all these teams.

Come on didn’t you just see the MASSIVE UPGRADES the Jags have at WR Zay Jones and Kirk just absolute studs no way we can stop that duo

Then you got Hollywood Brown he basically the same as Dhop lmao

GB clearly Sammy Watkins is superior to Adams then you have the rookie Woods and Lazard coming back top tier WR room

Titans Burks is the carbon copy of Brown just younger and cheaper going to give the exact same production then Robert Woods who cares he is coming off an ACL injury.

You can’t tell me these aren’t just superior WR groups for these teams

Wow... what's better ..Hollywood Brown or the combo of Hopkins / Kirk?

Tennessee...losing pro bowl level for a rookie and injured vet who one can easily see benefited from the system in LA.

But we can mention those team with the idea of improving WR..... but adding Brown and Paschal simply just make our unit " legit " 🤣

I meant rosters instead of "rushers.”

Robert Woods is a good player. Burks a top draft pick. Gotta guard them both.

Hollywood is a good player. Better be ready for his speed.

This is a whole new season. Players come and go. We’re only playing 2022 teams.

There was a guy on here years ago... I am not sure if it was " snow leopard"  or someone else.... but they came on twice a year ( after the final game and after the 1st draft pick)   all they did was complain about the secondary.   It's ironic that we won a SB with Darby and Mills.

But the point,  he used to skip all the other improvements and just go right to the secondary each time.    Nothing else mattered but the secondary.  I'm feeling the same here.   Like you gotta be kidding me after this off season to be obsessed about the secondary, especially with all those WRs that left the teams we are playing.

And again...when simply comparing 2021 to 2022... it's a downgrade . That's my point.   You said it yourself that Hopkins is the best...so it's a downgrade.   It's not really complicated is it?

You have to guard anyone in the nfl these are still professional athletes. The point being made is though

Id much rather have to guard Hollywood Brown vs having to guard Dhop

Much rather have to deal with Burks then AJ Brown

But come on.... losing Stephen Nelson is the biggest loss for this team since Cunningham hurt his knee in 1991.   You just can't recover from that.

Now the Saints and Washington should improve the WR position this year for sure.   Michael Thomas at half of what he was and the draft pick.  Washington if they get Samuel and Thomas back on top of the draft pick.

But ...Winston and Wentz have taken a beating on here, so I don't want to hear about the WRs if I've heard the same poster ridicule these QBs to death.

Still doesn't come close to what those other teams lost though.

Clearly losing Nelson way bigger downgrade in our secondary then Dhop to Brown or Lazard/Watkins/Woods to Adams

Wr's are less elite for the most part. However, you keep ignoring the fact that we will be facing much better QB's this year. What good does any WR accomplish if he has a terrible QB throwing him the ball....

1.  I could argue that point....being ww face AFC South vs the AFC West.   And instead of Brady, we face Winston.

But I'll skip that part. Because you can say Rodgers and Cousins.

2.   Your point keeps going back to my main point that some how keeps getting skipped.  Which is anything that makes you feel less legit about our wins last year...is a huge reason why anyone wouldn't see a huge improvement in the record this year.

Basically..I think anyone who says..." we won 9 last year but that was with Nelson and McCloud "   and trying to use that or the schedule as a reason not to win a lot more...    I call BS.

Correct, position has nothing to do with initial contract.    At least not in the real NFL world,  it might on planet Ham?  It's a different financial system there.

Rookie contracts are set strictly by dr

Washington added their big first round pick along with McLauren

It’s Burks and Woods instead of Brown. Teams have to make choices. Allocate money all around the whole team.

Ok... again..look at our 2022 opponents and tell me the huge upgrade at WR with all these teams.  I think whatever you come up with in additions...will not come close to losing Hopkins/Kirk, Adams/ Valdez- Scantling,  Cooper/ Wilson  and AJ Brown.    That's 5 games right there where it's a pretty significant drop-off.  I know you get obsessed with the draft every year...but please don't compare a rookie WR to guys like Adams.   It's a dropoff for sure.

Maybe, but the fact remains those teams filled a NEED with at least upper echelon talent and in the secondary we DID NOT.We will have UDFA's challenging the top 1 or 2 tiers of NEW rook WR's. In most cases that doesn't end well.We have 1/2 the field covered, but are exposed on the other side. Noone is comparing Adams to a rook, but hey Smith worked for us as a rook,JJ worked for the Vikes and we did not address the secondary with any top quality candidates. We are HOPING someone emerges, but that's not the same as addressing the position we annually ignore is it?

LMAO ok but the fact remains those NON stud guys you mention are better than our NON stud secondary on one side

Yeah, like we won't face them in a play off scenario LOL. Once again, we aren't facing them due the the easiest schedule 2 years in a row(because of those "downgrades" you mention). Maybe another year of one and done when we DO have to face them. Don't care if we win 14 games if we can't win ONE at playoff time

To early to say we are sending out the same unit in the secondary still plenty of time for us to add couple pieces.
It’s a good time for the team to see what they have in some young guys can look to add a vet like James Bradberry later into TC if needed

Yeah,I read an article that Howie is aware of not addressing the secondary and I know we have gotten our feet wet with a few FA's,so possibly we can add one soon. We'll see but anyone who thinks rooks can't make an impact needs to check JJ's stats(even as a rook)

Why are we signing all these WR's???? Makes no sense while we continue to ignore the secondary LOL. I understand you try to make the room better, even BU's, but this is overkill LOL. It doesn't hurt anything, just seems odd to keep signing more and more camp WR's

Week 10 we play Washington, Week 11 Indy, Week 12  Packers  , Week 13 Titans

that’s a tough stretch of the season it looks like right now

How do we know " upper echelon " talent?    They lost upper echelon talent for sure....we don't know they filled those needs yet.

Those non stud guys were better than our secondary last year too.  Nothing changed there.   We however,  upgraded tremendously in our front 7 and our WR group.
