We signed James Bradberry people can stop worrying about CB now lol

1 year 10m deal for him

beat me to it!  lol....  This helps allot! still not sure it pushes them over the 9-10 win total, but I can see a much better defense this year just with this one signing.... I wonder if the Eagles feel one of the CB's on the roster can play Safety...

Depends on coaching. not my point though. predicting a 6 win window is no prediction at all. So you are basically non committed with a win total.

Right... I don't care.  I just care where the team is at compared to the others. Are they a true contender.  If we don't have them beating any of the decent teams... then obviously we don't think they are good. The schedule isn't packed with unbeatable teams.  If we has confidence in the QB we would all be looking at much more than 9 wins.

Right.... now it's just the safety position now as the excuse....lol.

Maybe or maybe not. I think Epps will do fine. Look, we have allot of new pieces so it is going to take time to gel. Plus we have aging vets on the line. Not just a safety issue and I already pointed that out before we signed a CB. Do we improve on the sack total from last year with the addition of Davis? He has the potential to help rush the passer but has yet to prove he can.

Maybe 1-2 of he LB's will help out, but I am not convinced that issue has been addressed enough.

Dean may be a key addition this year on the defensive side of the ball. He is a smart player and basically called all of the plays for Georgia. His instincts could prove invaluable this year assuming he stays healthy. I would think he can cover a TE or RB easily enough. Interested to see how our DC does now....... he has allot of pressure to perform now. HR added allot of pieces on the defense....

We really don’t have that many new pieces.

DL more or less the same group of guys Davis but he  won’t start likely rotate in.

Reddick new not sure if he is a DL or an OLB so he gets his own spot

Secondary 4/5 guys are the same.

LB might have the biggest change with a new starter but my guess is that Edwards starts at one spot to start the season.

Out of the 11 starters on D only what 2-3 guys will be new rest are all the same

So Eagles now have two pro bowl CBs pretty good slot CB, Avg. S, improved pass rushers, beefed up the run D, and good looking LB room.

Not much excuse for this D unit not to be good

The LB additions are huge BG. Reddick should help with the poor pas rush. Having 2 solid CB's should also help with the pass rush. Still concerned about age, but you are right that the defense really has no excuse now. I still say 9-10 wins though. Until our QB proves me wrong I am sticking to that total. I hope I am way off and all of you guys can tell me that in 5-6 months....

Wtf else do we have to add here?    Just say it... because of your lack of confidence I'm the QB...it trumps the tremendous improvement made throughout the roster.

both safeties will be new. Bradberry is new. Dean will start and I think Reddick will start at DE. That is 5?

Look at my post above!  I did say it lol

Still concerned about age,

Not really that huge of a concern for me we have lot of young guys on this team. We need them to take steps forward for sure but they are there would be great to see couple of them push the older guys out and take playing time.

Neither S is new Harris was here last season and Epps started majority of last season.

Neither safety is new...Harris was the starter last year. Epps has been here and taken meaningful snaps.

Only one reason for this team not to dominate.  The GM had a phenomenal season upgrading everything else....step up QB1.

Epps started 3 games, but I still consider him a new piece this season. Yes he has taken meaningful snaps. Heck so did Bradberry, just not for us lol....

Anyway, point we both agree on is this defense is much improved. Yes the QB is and was always the biggest ? for our teams progress. No secret.....

Stine.... do not let your mind wander.  Trying to spin little excuses that happen every year for every team.   QB QB QB QB QB QB....and you know what else....QB.

It's the only one.  Team has improved everywhere else from 2021.

Epps play just under 50% of the snaps for the team was pretty big part of our rotation and started games for us hard to call him new. Going into his 2nd year with Gannon as his DC and playing next to 3/4 same players in the secondary.

Completely different then say Bradberry who hasn’t played for Gannon or anyone on our team

Just to put this into perspective…. We now have 11 WRs on roster…. We have 11 CBs on roster and we have 6 S so 17 total DBs.

Lot of young guys to try and help reshape these units. Early part of camp to me should be looking at the young guys seeing what they have. If we still have concerns can always look to add a vet later on.

Right but we got Smith last year, Added Brown this year, pascal earlier,so it's not like we invested like that in the secondary. Are Smith and Brown going to lose their jobs to a camp body? I think not

Idk.... are Slay and Bradberry going to lose their jobs to a 4th round pick?  2nd round pick?

The only FA signing of significance was Reddick before we signed Bradberry. We think the Draft helped, but we do not know for sure. So saying we improved everywhere else is stretching it. We did trade for Brown, so 2 significant additions other than the draft. We are assuming Dean, Davis and others help immediately. But we do not know this....

Kazir White

Do we go 3-4? If so, then we will have more additions to account for. All of these linebacker additions leads me to believe we may be switching. At least use different looks.......
