Idk.... are Slay and Bradberry going to lose their jobs to a 4th round pick?  2nd round pick?

The only FA signing of significance was Reddick before we signed Bradberry. We think the Draft helped, but we do not know for sure. So saying we improved everywhere else is stretching it. We did trade for Brown, so 2 significant additions other than the draft. We are assuming Dean, Davis and others help immediately. But we do not know this....

So Reddick...pass rush.... Braberry ...coverage..... Brown,  Paschal receiving.     The run game was already dominant.    The big draft pick should help the run.

Buy then you can continue to down play the collective improvements at LB and down play getting Graham back in the rotation.

I've said for the last 2 years that the defense relied too much on Cox and Graham.  Now neither need to play 85% of the snaps... a rotation and having quality depth on the defensive front cannot be understated...it's huge.

QB is pretty much the only question.

So with the addition of Bradberry,I will up my prediction to 11 wins, but of course this is ALL on Hurts now. This is now a team that can compete on any level if 1) the rooks pan out and 2) Hurts shows massive improvement as a passer. But let's face it, if Hurts fails, this team is 85% rebuilt and if white and bradberry work out we can re-sign them. As Joe said no excuses now. We sign Hurts to a big deal OR we locate our next QB

I must say Howie did a terrific job this year

Right...and to be honest...pick your 6 hardest games to win.  There is no Tampa or KC from last year on the schedule.

Howie made allot of moves. He cannot be blamed if we fall on our collective butts. What does Hurts do? Maybe they get a QB whisperer...?

So 11 games....  what if we had Burrow, Allen, Brady,  Rodgers or any of the AFC West QBs?     That's 8..

How about if we had Cousins, Lamar, Murray,  Matt Ryan...that level of QB?

Green Bay will be the hardest game. Adams missed 9 games over the past 3 seasons and GB still won 39 total. I doubt they will miss a beat even though he is gone... Called Good Coaching.

Hurts was out in California with the QB whisperer.   That's part of my point.   He has had everything this offseason.  Same offense for the first time in however long...no excuse....weapons ...no excuse... 20 plus starts under his belt now...no excuse... no more excuses.

Who was the receiver that picked up that slack when he was out?   Is it the other guy that left?

LOL you say we win 14 games if Hurts produces, but say we will see about GB winning 13 with the best QB in football...LMAO!

Nope, MVS was also out. Lazard missed 5 games. Rogers has played with no one at WR and still won games. It is what Elite QB's do....

MVS played 11 games last year, His best season was 690 yards for 16 games. They have Watkins and Cobb to go along with their draft pick Watson. They have other players that will most likely emerge as other have in the past.... Do not forget they have great RB's.....

If it all gels(remains to be seen),we could make a SB run next year and maybe win a playoff or 2 this year. But right now we could go toe to toe with TB. I felt the addition of Bradberry is bigger than others do. Now we have the capability to shut down the air attack. We already have the run D going on,so beating us has now become alot more difficult. One game I changed from L to W was the Vikes. Although I still think this will be a very close game,I believe it's one we can win. The key to this game will be our pass rush

We only have bradberry for one year....

My op is,this really depends on how fast Strong can show us his stuff. IMO he was a total draft steal, this kid can PLAY. I can see him immediately taking over the #2 and Hurts will have his shadow pending on every game,so who know what we do if Strong shows us he is fine and Hurts shows us he can't compete at the highest level

yeah White too,but we have a shot at re-signs for both. If I recall we signed Slay to a 1 year first also? Could be wrong, and guys like to stay with winning teams if the team provides the loot they want. Although White could go away, if bradberry works out I see no reason we should not re-sign him. And as I have been reminded Slay is 31

So in 48 games ...Adams missed 9...and the Packers won 39....   48-9 =39.   Can you show the results in the 9 games that he missed to further explain?   What was the record and what were the scores.   Context matters.

Doubs is also no slouch. Watson should be good for them. They are good at bringing WR's along

Last I checked....regardless of the score....if we lose to GB , that's only one loss. It's not that any of these teams we play aren't good.   But there isn't the " we can't win this game" on the schedule.   At Indy and Arizona are the tough away games.  Are we really scared about those?    GB beats us 59-0...   besides that... Tennessee, Pittsburgh,  New Orleans and Minnesota....all at home.  They don't scare me on the road,  having home field is an edge.

No excuses this year.

Howie invested $38 mil in Cox, Kelce and Bradberry.. one year deals.   On top of White, Barnett etc...and All the other moves... you know the team is all in this year.   Next year players will need to be replaced.    It's about the QB and his shot to go for it this year.

It's a lot of just 2022 investment in players...  so you know the idea is to see if they want to make the bigger investment in Hurts after this season.

Writing is on the wall here.

In my private fantasy league we usually had 12 teams. Due to BS last year only had 10. I booted 2 for breaking league rules, so now I need either 2 or 4 to join. it's a CBS private league with better scoring rules. So if anyone is interested(I pay for the league and hand out a cheap plastic trophy) drop me your EMAIL in messages so I can invite you. There is really only 1 rule. Put up a complete team every week(no positions at zero). No rooks here, you WILL be tested

Normally we seem to have played better on the road than at home. I don't EVER want to see us coming out of the tunnel FLAT AGAIN!!!

I think we could have Cox and Kelce replacements in here already(we shall see) but we can see the moves have been made. Secondary got a big help today,so its all on Hurts. Actually although he is not my dream QB he may do well now,but if we can hit the playoffs that will be the big test since we have the easiest schedule AGAIN

GTG go mow, more fun for me LOL
