Most of the team is the same no reason we aren’t. Only new piece on O is AJ

D has few more new faces in Bradberry, Reddick and Dean or White but the other 8 are the same.

Id be more concerned about how the Vikings are with a new HC learning a new scheme we should have the edge with an entire year for our players under there belt

Pascal is also new and if we are changing over defensive schemes there will be some early growing pains

If they are down and Danny sucks,I can see them making a QB move in that game. Tyrod is more like Hurts who can run around in the backfield to buy throwing time. I suspect the speed of Davis will counter and pocket passer running. Something to watch for. Every NFCE game is pull out the stops if you are down. Should be fun for Bradberry lol

I'd wager Dimes can run faster than Taylor

Don’t see Pascal as a starter plus he knows Siri O has already played under him had his best season under Siri.

D it was all things Gannon wanted to do from the start just didn’t have the pieces not sure much changes of what he is asking the guys to do though

IDK,I see pascal in rotation with Quez depending on what we want to do

I'm saying a guy like Dalvin will show you where your weaknesses are on run D with a new(as we believe) scheme. if there is a weak link Cook will expose it

So I still feel the Vikes game will be one of the most hard fought. Sure we can win it,but I think it will be very close

Sure I think Cook would hurt us even if it isn’t a new scheme Cook is a great player. I think Jefferson and Thielan are good players. Kirk is an above avg. QB i 100% think there offense can hurt us.

But if we are talking about gelling who should be ready more it should be us we are in year 2 with our staff with mostly the same guys starting.

Vikings have a new coach on both sides of the ball they are also changing D schemes to a 34

I think you have JJ fever.... the Vikes is the home opener on a Monday night.   Team wasn't good last year.  On paper ( for those not thinking JJ is Jerry Rice) should be easy Eagles win)

Right... he " should"  ....on paper, but will he deliver on the field?

https://www.espn.com/nfl/player/_/id/4262921/justin-jefferson   Not JJ fever Joe,it's JJ stats that bother me LOL. Now add Theilens stats

In a straight line,I'm talking about Taylor scrambling

Right....I would wager Dimes can get away from the rush faster with his speed.   But you were saying if Dimes messes up...." the need to scramble " means more than the OL is messing up.

Yeah, I keep saying it will be a close game, not the wipe out Joe thinks it will be. JJ put up 1600 yards last year, our top guy 900+. can't just ignore that

Great fantasy player.

I think Taylor is better side to side, running sideways than Dan. if we are killing them I could see a QB change to see if they can do anything

The only game I'm leaning towards the opponent is GB, and that's just because I think AR is the best QB of this era - that includes TB12. With our depth, 10 wins is my low bar for this season

ARod can do special stuff with the ball. Brady is accurate and consistent. Incredibly smart and handles himself unbelievably. ARod more the showboat type. But he can squeeze that sucker in under the defenders armpit. Lots of guys are cocky….maybe think they can. ARod does it. Feels like he’s embraced the rockstar portion of the job.

https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/C/CookDa01.htm   Cook stats 1100+ yards. JJ 1600+ yards but you think this is a walk in the park and I tend to differ

Vikings at home vs on the road is different.   Philly home field advantage in first game on a Monday night is different.  A neutral field I think it's close...maybe... at home, this should be exactly what a home field advantage is about.  Dome team on the road in a hostile environment.  More intangibles than what Hurts brings!

Yeah... that Vikes team was real scary last year.

Our SB none of our receivers got over 1000. Having a bell cow RB or WR can become a weakness if taken out or injured.

I can agree with this. We saw Tenn wilt after they lost their star(who also killed off my fantasy team HAHAHA)

I could see this game going either way wouldn’t shock me if we handle the Vikings easily, it’s a tough game or the Vikings smack us in the mouth entirely.

If the Vikings strike early and fast do we have the QB that can keep pace throwing the ball???

Anyway Vikes-Cook 1100 yards Sanders 750. JJ 1600+,smith 900+  We helped our secondary, but still the vikes are formidable and I think it will be a tough game

You ever been to a Monday night game in Philly?  Or a home opener?   You keep missing this in favor of fantasy stats?

Plus our improved front 7 with extra size, speed, talent and depth...you are worried about " holes" because it's a " new scheme" ???

If you can't beat a losing team in your home opener ( on a Monday night) after making all these improvements in the offseason ... no way should you win 10 or 11 games.

A close game favors us let’s us lean on our ground game…. If the Vikings get out to an early lead and force us into throwing us where the issue would likely come.
