You gotta talk 2023 money and forward. 2022 isn’t relevant.

Going forward....I'm not paying Sanders.

Right your set on spending big in the draftZ

So if you talk big games and such…we need Sanders.

Not long term...I'm drafting his replacement next year.

I’m not against drafting a guy

I’m just considering all options

Not big... using day two pick to prevent from spending stupidly for Sanders.

But what if I can afford to keep Sanders and let Hargrave and Cox walk. Draft Dline instead at second round.

That’s your only option

I’m not that inflexible

I’m balancing paying guys versus drafting. If we pay Sanders we could use that second elsewhere. But really like the idea of drafting a stud to pair up. I don’t know all the numbers on Sanders being out. I know Scott lit the Gmen up.

He has 84 yards ALL YEAR-TOTAL

Like I pondered earlier….I’ll even consider trading Hurts.

Got 22 starters at least to come up with

Trade Hurts we have the money to keep the big guys. Could maybe keep Gardner-Johnson, Bradberry and Edwards

And he beat out Gainwell. I’m not making any plans based on the guy behind that.

You can let all 3 go... you can spend money elsewhere.

Thank you for that. Helps make things a bit more clear. The guy backing up the 84 yard RB isn’t what I’m calling or relying on as committee. I drop him and give somebody else a shot.

No doubt.

Just pointing out how much easier the possibility of fitting our RB starter into our future cap plans is than a guy like Ceedy Deauce.

So let the 18 mil S walk and draft a S in the second. Pay the cheaper Rb.

Idk your issue.. Gainwell is a backup.  He will be a backup next year.   Has nothing to do with Sanders.

Right now...you need to make decisions on CGJ, Bradberry,  Edwards, Epps.  The rest...I'm letting go.  You gotta move on to next era.  Especially if you are of the mindset that the long term franchise QB is here... reset the roster in an intelligent manner.

But he clearly stepped up and looks much more cut this year.

Is it coincidence he stepped because this is a contract year??? No 1,000 yard season before this one?. Let just say I am skeptical

But it's not... position matters.   Overpaying a cheaper position...one on which you plan to use a committee. One guy has had instant impact on your record...the other guy for 4 years is just along for the ride.

But let me ask you... what is the point in saving some money on choosing Sanders vs CGJ.   To do what?   Now you gotta find a replacement for CGJ.  You are saying it's easier to find that guy than a replacement for Sanders?

I mean do you want to key Hurts walk because we have Book or whatever super cheap. Terrible logic there.

Day two pick is a high investment

Its all we have this next draft??? Yep 1,1,2,3 and 2-7ths,so what other day is there?? If you want a RB he is coming here day TWO of the draft

He clearly stepped up to where I'm not seeing.. " wow we won because of Sanders "   since I'm not seeing that. I'm not paying him.

Has nothing to do with Gainwell or CGJ

Ham has trouble separating these things ..... as Marcelous Whiley said... " that's pride...F@$ing with you!"

Well seemed like coaches didn’t favor him off the bat. But now see. But gotta go back to his experience. He only played one season of college ball. So you could look at things like he’s experience wise almost at normal rookie level. But sure contract years always matter. Never deny that. We have a team full of them. All balling out. But he clearly got much bigger.

You really think we end up with those picks... no shot we stay put.   We also have free agency.   Not everything must be done via draft.  But you can bet RB is one they would love to select in round 2 or 3.   Remember the SB year....how did RB look in April of that year?

I’m saying it’s actually possible to pay Sanders under that cap thing. Ceedy Deuce really hampers you. So my thought go along the lines if we could pay Sanders and draft the S.

All options on the table. But you set on letting Sanders walk and drafting his replacement in the second. Why not a S?

Just don’t see the comparisons between Sanders and CJG. Both starters. CJG better. But we’d all love to just pay all the All Pros. Can’t afford that. Simple math I’m for some reason having you long winded explain here. 18 mil versus 6 mil. The 6 mil guy is easier to fit in more scenarios. Plus your whole idea is let the 6 mil guy walk and having to use a high draft pick to overcome it.

OH-84 yards in 8 games is a definite keeper over the guy that gets minimal chances. Lose Scott,Lose Sanders UNLESS he will sign cheap,if not find a decent RB in FA/offseason and draft one and get a comp pick. Sermon may be the #2, gainwell costs nothing so he stays unless you find someone better without spending anything. Who did we get Blount and ajayi?

Ok. You run with your boy Gainwell as your committee. Really hampering the O for a potential dominant rushing team.
