Kliff Kingsbury??? He could be on the outs in AZ. Now before you badmouth me, lets remember he was a huge part of 2 QB's development-Manziel (Heisman winner) and taking a walk on freshman QB over an established one. That QB was Baker Mayfield. If he is fired I would bring him in in some capacity (bye Press???) IDK if he could be HC here, but he seems like a talent worthy of a spot on our lame staff. Of course Johnny football could not handle the maturing part, but Baker Mayfield did. Maybe he can fix Wentz,or perhaps he can find a QB worthy of this team if it's not Wentz. He has a penchant for finding DITR's at the QB position. Murray played well until the last few games. I cannot explain the fall off in AZ, but at least they had something to fall from lol(we didn't have that problem)

Rams DC is probably coaching his way out of an interview right now.

highly doubt Kingsbury is in jeopardy of losing his job at this time.

Vegas has the odds at 4:1 lol. If he makes it through the weekend I think he's safe

So far all of the coordinators we are looking at hiring whose teams have played/are playing today have had their units looking considerably crappier than the Eagles looked against the same teams.

Do I want the a repeat of the Bills offense from today? Or the Rams defense?

Just hire Duce and be done with it. This "let's interview every coordinator who ever called a corner blitz or a double reverse" crap is getting old.

Ravens D is pretty good, shut down teams running games and their secondary ain't too shabby. Not many score vs them, so that's not a good indicator. Besides we are a LONG way from even being in games like this one. Won't matter who we hire. It's the Howie show, everyone else is just here to collect a paycheck for taking the blame for it all. Just make Howie the HC cause he will be anyhow

Not sure why? Improved 3 wins from previous year in a tough div that 2 teams went to the playoffs. Highly doubt it, think they would have done it by now if he was going.

Yeah. Just more BS from the rumor mill lol

I've gotta root for someone!!!

Also rooting for Cleveland, but not very optimistic for them vs KC. We'll see though. Felt that way with the Pitt match-up, just not as compelling.

Wonder how ASG15 is doing with his knee recovery.

Yeah I can't see it either. Bills Browns AFCCG though? Battle of the underdogs...

So we are now judging Rams DC and Bills OC solely on 1 game just ignore everything did throughout the year???

As for rushing to hire a HC not sure why people are in such a rush playoffs are not even finished.

True, but we have 7 positions to fill and if we promote Duce, we'd STILL have 7 positions to fill. Is this new staff going to want a new scouting dept? New S&C staff?(and so on down the line) So yeah, I'd like to have some pieces in place. But knowing how this place works, I'm sure we wait until the night before the combine, then fire up the FANFARE machine, to say how thrilled they are with the hire, when that would probably the last person to take this awful job . None of this really matters anyway. Lurie is just looking for new faces to blame for Howies decisions. I see Ped who was "taking a year off coaching" is already looking at the OC job in Seattle lol

It’s hard to imagine this team having any success in the next 2-3 years regardless of who we hire due to the lack of talent on the roster relatively speaking and the cap situation that will prevent us from adding any talent other than through the draft which unfortunately has not been a strength of this regime.  So basically does it matter who we hire since we likely to be back in this same position in 3, 4 years?

Wentz has successfully turned off my enthusiasm faucet to a slow drip. I totally hate prima donnas and it sounds to me that's exactly what we have. Unless he throws 7 TD passes in his first game back, I don't think he can walk the walk. Am I being overly tough on him? Yeah probably, but it's about time someone was. When MOMMY calls in to explain to the org how to handle her brat, that seals it for me. I want this sign hanging over the entrance to Novacare. "Put up,or shut up and get out" Also would be a nice hyphenated additional tack on to Howies already long desk sign. If no balls Lurie continues to let Howie run this team, it won't matter who we hire, they will just be new figureheads like the last set who can pre-record their weekly pressers ahead of time. Different faces, same line" we need to do better". That is wearing thin in Philly and as a fan, I am pretty much stretched to my limit

I know a lot of people are wondering if there is any truth to those reports about Wentz but where there’s smoke there’s fire and there is a LOT of smoke here.  I was a big fan of his from the time we drafted him until just recently but now I hope we make the decision to unload him - I don’t want him on the team I’ve been rooting for for the past 45 or so years.  This team is going NOwhere the next 2-3 years anyway so take the cap hit now that will come with moving him and start fresh.  Play Hurts in 2021 and get a better idea of what we have in him.  If 2021 shows he won’t be the future then draft a QB high in 2022 - pretty safe bet we’re going to have a high pick (and hopefully extra picks to use to move up from having traded Ertz and a few other vets ... Johnson?  Brooks? Cox??).

I’m more concerned with the interactions of the Fo with the staff.... Talent this team is dead isn’t he water lacking talent can purge lot of our cap concerns in 2021. Can’t go crazy in 22.

The big thing is 21 has to be bringing along young players we had some promising guys. From Wallace at S the UDFA CB Jacquet, Sweat.

On O Driscoll/Mailata hopefully get a serious look at Dillard. Can we get Reagor/Hightower/Watkins to take the next steps thought all 3 showed some promising flashes.

I will disagree a bit here. We have POTENTIAL talent on the roster player wise. The lack of talent is, and has been the staff/FO. Sanders COULD be a stud RB(or close to one). We still competed with PS players. Most games were not "pretty" but that is like asking 6 graders to fill in on your college team. The talent we have/had can't stay on the damn field. The lack of talent(in my old lame opinion) is secondary to keeping those guys on the field. For me that is my main issue. Reagor can grow(if we have a QB who can use their head and hit open receivers). Fulgham is fine, Ward is fine even if they are BU's. They now have experienced NFL games. They can work on their weaknesses and understand them having lived them. Our secondary has always been second rate. We relied on a pass rush, not just a good one a DOMINATING one. Just go to Alabama,or Ohio state,LSU or whomever and hire the entire staff-ALL of them. Send a private plane for them, because they have what we don't and that is everyone pulling the same way on the same rope. This is how/why we won the SB. They weren't stars, they were a group that pulled the same way down to the gatorade servers. GOTTA HAVE THAT BACK and it has to come from each individual, not a card you read off of at a presser

This is the FO not on the coaches...

As for the rest of our potential HC staff I’d image all of the guys we have interviewed already have a strong idea who they are bringing with them.

Here's a new theme we are dealing with. If you remember back Chip would not take the job unless he had "control". Lurie gave him that and pissed off Howie, thus the desk sign addition of "GM". So Chip was a mistake, but the theme lives on. Ped stated he needed a change because he asked for more team control(which in my view is why you hire a HC). Now after the Chip debacle,Lurie is gun shy to hand over the keys to ANYONE, and this will be the problem going forward, because lets face it,anyone in a leadership role wants to succeed ON THEIR OWN skills, not being told what they MUST do.; Does Lurie want a HC, or a paid yes man. I ran across this alot in business. If you tell an Olympic diving coach their protege  can only perform the swan dive, they will never win a competition, ANYWHERE, no matter if it's perfect every time. Coaches want to be known by their own actions, not the FO's. IDK any coach(other than Duce) who would want to come here and be that yes man/ scapegoat caused only by Luries inability to dole out responsibilities and hold people accountable and that INCLUDES Howie. Now,I have no clue how much ball rubbing and arse kissing is going on there, but it has to be a phenominal amount and if I was a coach, you couldn't pay me enough to be here

Did hire John Dorsey to our FO as a consultant maybe he helps did have a hand in building Cleveland and KC

Depends WHO you put in charge doesn't it??? If a HC has a good scouting dept, they will bring those people in unless as stated above, your FO refuses to let you do it. In that case, this team is already history and they should fold up the tent

Unless we are giving the HC GM duties no it doesn’t and Howie isn’t going anywhere yet so
