A ranking of corners that has some interesting tidbits.

Harris' 2021 NFL Draft Top 10 CB Rankings — March | The Draft Network

For one, this guy only has Farley as being worth a first-round pick, which is pretty interesting. He has five corners with second round grades - Surtain, Horn, Molden, Adebo and Newsome, and only one with a third round grade, Campbell from Georgia, so seven in all with third round grades or better.

Meanwhile, SI has 14 corners with third round grades or better, the same number as Tankathon, and PFF has 16.

I think it is the most interesting position, both because we have such a huge need and because scouts are all over the place with how they view certain prospects. It seems like if there was ever a year to get someone really good at the position in one of the later rounds, this would be it.

I am hoping they take a corner in the second round (Newsome, Samuel, Stokes) and then draft another one relatively early as well. Kelvin Joseph, Keith Taylor and Benjamin St. Juste would make a lot of sense with the second pick in the third round.

A draft of Pitts, Samuel Jr., Cox and St. Juste in the first three rounds would make me really happy.

BTW someone in that group will fall into 3. Round 2 is NOT going to every team taking a CB. I will take the one who falls to me at pick 70. I believe that to be Newsome, but could be one of the others. I'm taking a semi stud pass rusher, this will help out my round 3 CB

Bad. Foles is a bad QB outside of Philly.

Foles is not that good in Philly either,  except the timing of a couple of games vs defenses that were missing good DBs.  If you look at the entire body of work.

When does free agency start the 17th????

Got 3 Colts on my short list of players for us.

Hooker/Mack/Walker Jr- two of those guys should come cheap on prove it deals Walker should be a cheap Lb option that can start for us as well.

After those 3 was looking at Curtis Samuel as a WR option maybe

Hunter Henry is another interesting name might cost to much but does have the connection with our OC...

A nice cheap backup mentor QB could be Alex Smith

PFF doesn't think we need a CB lol. They think QB and LB are the team needs(which they are but....)

Where are you getting all this spending money?

I’m just looking at options the Eagles could look at I don’t expect all of them lmao we might sign nobody. But FA is first so putting together a short list of guys

I would rather seem them go corner in round 2 since that is a guy who is very likely to start, whereas a DE will be the fourth guy on the roster. So they can look for a developmental guy in the later rounds. Three names I like are Shaka Toney, Jonathan Cooper and William Bradley-King. Bradley-King is intriguing since he has gone from an absolute nobody who couldn't get on the field early in his college career to consistently beating Alex Leatherwood from Alabama in the senior bowl. He seems perfect for a sixth round flyer.

Lmao I’ve said like 5 names all at different positions.... I’m not you and the draft and list every name in the draft

Hooker makes sense on a cheap one year deal. He may want to come here if he has no other offers, which is possible given his injury history.

Mack and Walker don't seem like great options to me. Samuel is too pricey.

One name I like is Witherspoon at CB. He will be affordable and may want a situation where he has a really good chance to start, and beating out Michael Jacquet certainly provides that.

They will sign a backup qb, but my guess is it will be someone extremely cheap. I would just bring Sudfeld back on a minimum deal.

Yeah that's a good point. I could see that happening. It's just that if Oweh were there at 37 I would have a tough time passing on him. We could probably still get guys like Wade from OSU or Aaron Robinson from UCF at CB in 3. We need so much basically this draft is "pick your poison" as to which position you let go on. The good part about the 37 pick is we are likely to get a round 1 talent ln in round 2(or I hope we can) since that is only 4 picks out of round 1

I dont list every name. Sometimes I have to move guys around but my "want list" is pretty intact, so you can stop that BS right away

JSB just in your OP, would you take Newsome(Northwestern) at 37? Some have him in 1,others in 3,but I think he is a good fit here

2 LB's Iike in 3(despite 93's false claim that I name everyone lmao) are Browning  and Cox. Like them both about the same

That’s some extreme Foles hatred. Foles has some really hot moments here.

Our Madden club champ just got knocked off by the Washington Wuss-seems fitting

I like Newsome or Samuel Jr. at that spot. If one of them is on the board, I take him.

I like Tyson Campbell. Having a 6’2” corner would be refreshing. Playing at Georgia he definitely went up against top competition.

As a side note... is LB ever NOT on our list of needs?
