The overreactions about a 3-week injury are amazing. Especially when the actual season doesn't start for about six weeks.

Same is said for Wentz

Just some random comments for people who didn't watch the game and have no intention to do so. I find myself being more annoyed at the result of the game than I probably should. It's ridiculous t

Did you just start following this team?  We have had major injury issues for the last 4 years.  This camp is not off to a good start.  Injuries before contact stuff.  It will only get worse from here.

So basically he has one year.

Basically it’s what I’ve been telling you they are on the hook for 15 mil in dead money and 3rd day of the league year if on the team it becomes fully guaranteed. So they could take a 15 million dollar dead money hit and save 12 mil. So really they are on the hook for $15 mil if he’s there or not. I’m guessing he’s likely back in 2022 unless he’s full 2020 Carson.

And none of the injuries the team has suffered yet are major injuries. Everyone who has gotten hurt is still likely to play in the season opener.

Again, complaining about three and four week injuries -- at THIS point -- is just silly.

Which RBs do you think make the 53? Sanders, Gainwell, _______, ________. Haven't heard much about Johnson. & Scott but keep hearing Huntley's name during camp. Would like to see someone take Scott's spot (knowing they would have to return punts).

Howards name has been coming up a lot from a wide variety of reporters. I think he and Scott round out the group.

Honestly no point in worrying about it until the week of the first game. Unless it’s something where the guy needs surgery and we know he’s gonna be out a while. People take training camp good and bad to the extremely. I’ve learned to not really care what the beat writers tell you from their observations cause most of the time they mean crap when the season starts. They are better at reporting info they hear from sources and the team in terms of potential cuts and moves.

Good to have you back.  Am I wrong to be concerned about a punter that seems to shank every fifth punt and a kicker who is hitting .666 in TC so far?

Wentz should stick his foot in the water at Boo Ya Moon.

Wentz is a bit different in that he won’t be throwing in a boot for several weeks. While Smith also won’t be running, he can catch with the jug machine and use the tether football gadget.

Always with the negative vibes, Moriarty.

Mullets back in style?

Yeah, they've unfortunately been slowly making a comeback. I didn't get the memo that they ceased being a punchline.

Sanders and Scott are pretty locked up. Running with the ones.  Scott is said to be catching a lot of passes.  Zero drops last year.   The beats keeping talking about Gainwell but the obvious Hines type on the Eagles is Scott.  A couple inches shorter, stouter and a bit slower.  But both have great hands and run routes well. Is Gainwell, a fifth rounder who sat out last year, truly a lock?  Why in the world do you want to see someone replace Scott?  What exactly is bad about Scott’s game?  I want a better third back and possibly a fourth.  Those will come from the best of the other four.  (Killins is strictly a WR at this point and Holyfield is just too slow and one dimensional.).

I just don't see the Eagles giving up on Gainwell this early. Scott seems to be a safe bet to make the roster, you're right. Sanders, Scott, Gainwell, _______.

Seeing a lot of chatter on Twitter about how if the Wentz pick turns out to be a 2nd, they don't have the ammo for a trade next offseason. Which QB needy teams have substantial more ammo? 2 1sts, 2 2nds, and future 1sts should be enough to beat any other team....no?

Sanders Scott Kerryon Gainwell Huntley.

I'm not a fan of Kerryon the player but seems the coaches have been talking him up

Apparently Gainwell has struggled in camp with everything. Not uncommon for a rookie

Huntley reportedly has ripped off some big runs and is said to look to be the fastest of the backs on the roster.

We'll see what happens when the pads go on, and who steps up and who shrinks.

"remove it"?

I'm guessing there's a tiny pice that was chipped off the bone and is "floating".  They remove the bone fragment and the rest will be fine.  I suppose the time table being so wide is due to how much tissue they have to cut to get access to the fragment.

Huntley is playing with the 3s and no contact. Reminds me of the RB uberwonder OTAs about a decade ago until the pads went on and the defense were knocking him over just by touching him. Last year, there were comments from open practices that the defense enjoyed knocking Huntley over.

And yet another reason why working that trade up to 10 into a trade down with Chicago was the right idea.

Yup.

Not necessarily. But there's a chance that the "shanks" aren't really shanks after all and were just directional punts as requested by the coaching staff. I know for a fact that they sometimes do that, and that reporters watching from afar are clueless about what's really happening.

As far as the kicker is concerned, I wouldn't say he's on thin ice but he isn't exactly on thick ice either. I wouldn't worry too much at this point.

I liked kerryon a lot when he was drafted. Played well his rookie year. Then injuries began piling up and he had to play with the lions and Matt Patricia which i can’t imagine helping his cause. Then they added swift. I actually think he has the talent to potentially be a really good no. 2 back and if sanders misses a week or two he a solid starter over that time. He also has the potential to keep getting injured.

Best case scenario..long term......is for the Eagles to have a bad year.  Empty seats or more opposing fans in the stands will help Lurie see the light.  Ticket sales won't suffer, obviously.  But when those tickets are sold to opposing fans or people don't show up, because the team blows, Lurie will take notice.  Hopefully then he would see the light and get rid of Howie and turn over football ops to a good football man.  Otherwise we will be in purgatory, which is my prediction.  7-10.....enough progress for Lowie to justify staying the course.  Worst case scenario.

Same could be said for Hurts this year. Having an okay season, just good enough to keep him, would be disastrous. Need him to run away with it or stink so we have clarity there.

Don’t feel too bad. The Dolphins could fall back to earth and as such still give the Eagles a top ten pick, and if Hurts is as bad as everyone (Wentz apologist) claim he is then the Eagles could have two top ten picks.

Hurts and his many, many issues have nothing to do with Wentz, who's no longer here and had several issues of his own.
