If Wentz wins a playoff game Reich deserves coach of the year as far as I’m concerned.

Why ??  Doesn't take a great coach to hand the ball off to the best running back in football.  Wentz will have to make some plays, but he won't have to perform miracles if the line and Taylor do their thing.  That have been winning with that formula, and they are averaging 28 PPG relying on the line, Taylor and their defense.

Well sorta.  I've seen posts saying a new topic is a duplicate and should be closed because it's already being discussed in the blog.

I was about to start discussing duplicate topics and the blog in the blog, so can you please delete this or take it to the blog?

I'm neither a lover or hater of either QB, but you know how this will go from fans who hate Hurts.  If they win, they'll say they won despite him with excuses.  If they lose, they'll say see he sucks and can't win a playoff game.

Oh yeah for sure. He could go 15-20 for 280, rush for 50, and score three times, and if they win it’s cause of anything but him, but if they lose it’s absolutely cause of him.

Reich has a great weapon in Taylor. They’re just like the Eagles though. Using the run game to win games. Since Reich has taken the ball out of Carson’s hands and more into the belly of Taylor’s the Colts are 3-0. With Wentz doing less he’s actually been more effective. If your quarterback isn’t named Mahomes, Rodgers, or Brady you aren’t going to win a lot of games throwing 40-50 times.

Strange that you value an "I Toldya So" over the chance of your team getting better players.

One thing is certain, though: the next playoff game Wentz wins will be his first.

Given Howie's record in the second half of the first round I think it unlikely to matter much whether the Eagles draft say 20 vs. 23 or 24.

You are 100% correct. Too bad Andy - and I guess Doug to some extent never figured that out. You also need more than one very good receiver to pull off 40 - 50 passes/game.

Unfortunately that’ll be the same narrative until we have a top QB that is an elite passing threat.

We have never had an elite passing threat. Certainly not a consistent one.

That's my point.  We have always had a faction of the fanbase that bashed our QB for this or that.

There is like this delusional idea that elite quarterbacks just grow on trees and they are easy to find. And they wonder why McNabb hasn’t fully embraced them or why guys like Wilson, Rodgers, and Watson would prefer not to come here.

This is true. And you can substitute Wentz name for the other haters.

If we had Tom Brady here, someone would hate him (he's lost games so he sucks)

Funny I was going to post the exact same earlier.

Let's just face the facts. We're all a bunch of  miserable haters. Unless a quarterback somehow achieves perfection he'll never be good enough for us (some will love him some will hate him).

Yeah if Trevor Lawrence were our quarterback playing like he is right now people would want him and Howie burned at the stake.

Well, Lawrence would be playing better here because he would not have an idiot like Urban Meyer as his HC, he would have a better offensive line, and better skill position players.

Or he could be playing how he is right now. Heck people a month ago were calling Sirianni an idiot and wanted him fired. NY Jets are just as bad. They are already calling him a bust.

They wanted him fired last week after 5 min in the 1st quarter.

Truth. Speak it!

Backup QB's were some of our most popular players during the McNabb era. Same with Foles during his stints with the team.

And before that.  It's been a long-time saying that the most popular athlete in Philadelphia is the backup QB.

Heck people trashed Doug before and after he won a Super Bowl here. The hate is strong in this fan base.

This fan base and FO is unbearable sometimes. Like I said I really couldn't blame anyone for not wanting to be here last year and even parts of this year. Hell even I checked the hell out after the Bengals game last year and by half time of at least 3 games this year. It's enough to drive anyone away lol

And I hate to say it, but as much as Reagor has been a huge disappointment, I'm not sure what booing him every time is name is called to return a punt achieves. He's just a kid and we should be hoping he turns into a semi-productive player.
