How does that affect the cap? Just out of curiosity

According to OTC it saves 1.4M

You’re either Squirts for Hurts, a Flacco Fluffer or a Minshew Milker.

Sorry, I don’t make the rules.

That should read "a Flacco Fapper"

I'd trade Hurts before he plays and his stock crashes.

I really want you to be wrong about this......

Nope.  The 1.9 million in red adds to the current cap hit.  Costs an additional 1.9 to release him.

OTC formula does not seem to take void year contract numbers into effect correctly.  When you do void years, all the remaining money accelerates immediately.

Hell be starting games at the end of the year.

Hurts, Flacco, and Minshew...not the best QB room. I thought Flacco would be starting games later in the year because Hurts doesn't make it through the year because of poor play. Minshew changes the game. He's better than Flacco at this point. Right?

Just when I think we finally start making good selections with our draft picks, we start trading them away lol

We got the stach, the jorts, and entertaining pressers. What isn't there to love about this?

If you just TRADED for a 3rd string QB, no, it's not a bargain price, they absolutely overpaid.

Or, there's the reality that that it's a long season and a young, mobile starting QB, just might miss a game or two due to injury. Doesn't hurt to have a second mobile QB in the stable.

His contract is fully guaranteed so there’s no savings or hit

See my post above, all the void year nonsense would add to this years cap hit if released or traded

Right but then the dead money comes off of 2022. In the end you either keep him on the roster and split it across two years or take it all in one, but it’s the same number.

Yep.  Either way you lose that cap space, maybe that is why they did the most recent restructures, knee Flacco wasn’t gonna work out and had to move the cap space to 2021 to cut bait.

I would say the odds of any team drafting a QB in the 6th round better than Minshew is slim.
