It was the same DAL theme as the first 4 games last season, and most of the season before that.  Wouldn't have mattered whether it was TB, CLE, or even the Chargers last night.

58 throws and 14 runs -- in a game that was a one-score lead or deficit pretty much the entire way.  It doesn't work.

Yes but Dallas did not fully capitalize. Bucs played it brilliantly after they got in field goal range on that last series.  Three straight plays that were very safe.  Not worried about his individual stats, Brady threw the ball away over the receivers head out of bounds. No forcing the ball with throws at the goal. Short drop, very aware of the rush and ready to throw the ball away every time.  Even a jailhouse blitz would not have got home.  Ate what was left of the clock, which was the main goal and left just two seconds on the clock. Kicked it out of the end zone so that guaranteed 75 yards from the end zone so no Hail Mary threat.  Pretty standard defense with two seconds left on the clock to limit YAC and any success of a hook and ladder type play.  Defense was disciplined.  Nicely finished. 

That last catch by Godwin on Tampa bay was offensive PI.

As always refs swallow there whistles when it comes to a team with Tom Brady on it 

Their whistles worked just fine the previous cowboys drive when they stalled a potentially game clinching driving in an inconsequential offensive holding call but an obvious offensive PI by the BUCS, no flags anywhere

Actually it does up to a point. Numerous economic studies have found that happiness increases up to around 100K a year, after that it has little impact.

Probable reason is the stress of worrying about where you're gonna live, whether you can afford to eat, pay your health and car insurance, etc. tends to make you somewhat miserable.

Once you make enough money to have basic security, money doesn't make you happier b/c it is then buying "status goods," and they quickly lose value as you realize someone has a bigger house, fancier car, etc. So at that point, money doesn't buy happiness, and the pursuit of more money can make you miserable.

Why are we talking about a last place team?

Well, TB did have the better defense . . .

Dak is very good within the context of his limitations, he's not an elite QB even though he's paid like one, but with solid talent around him he can be highly  productive. Which is what I hope for Hurts. There are only 3-4 elite QBs in the game at any time, the next 10-15 aren't that different, and depend on the talent around them. But if he loses one of his WRs for any length of time . . . and the Ewok seems to be cooked, I didn't see much burst out of him even when he got outside.

It's hard to judge a DL against Brady, he's simply the smartest QB since Montana, very decisive decision maker who gets the ball out quickly, even on the intermediate passes (which is how he has that high yards per target rate last year, he's not holding the ball for 40 yard passes except on play action, but he sees the guy 15-20 yards downfield and gets rid of the ball). But I don't see where Dallas has made great improvement from last year, Lawrence can eat up second tier OTs, but not so much the top guys.

The play before Vea was blatantly held and dragged down to the ground. Refs sucked as usual.
