 SUMMARY: Quentadrian "Tay” Gowan faced a challenging upbringing, including being homeless for a stretch. He earned All-State honors as a senior at Newton High School with four interceptions in 2015. A two-star recruit, Gowan spent two seasons at Miami (Ohio) before leaving for the JUCO level. He transferred to UCF and had a productive junior season. Due to his daughter being born premature in July 2020, Gowan opted out of the 2020 season and entered the 2021 NFL Draft. He has patient feet and balanced movements in press, but his process is a work in progress and receivers are able to create separation out of their breaks. Gowan is aggressive with the ball in the air and plays through the hands of receivers. He doesn’t lack for physicality, but he struggles to break down and tackle on the move. Overall, Gowan has favorable length, confidence and ball skills, but his average speed and tightness in his transitions will be tough to mask vs. NFL route runners.

Yeah they waited to confirm just how bad Hurts and this team was before starting to unload players. 

Not sure why, I think we all suspected we were not going to be a decent team without a quality QB, and having an all new unproven coaching staff.
