That’s some serious nitpicking of that pass to Watkins.

Taylor got hurt again? I didn’t even notice.

his calf...again.

Lol, he had to let up the smallest amount on that 91-yard catch. Ridiculous to even mention it, to be honest.

Right, he did.

It was still a very good throw, I've said as much. No need to lose sleep over it.

Hurts' deep balls are not his strength.  Last week, the intermediate passes worked well.  Siri decided to see if Hurts could go deep, the results were not good.  Let him stay in the short and mediate ranges, plus the running game.

The injuries begin to appear again.  Graham may be down for the season and Brooks would miss some games, if not all.  They are good players and leaders of the team.  But age is catching up on them.  This season youth is added, but a bunch of older players are still the core of this team.  The long list of "rest" player on the injury report this past week shows a clear picture of the make-up of the roster.

What intermediate passes?

pass-chart_HUR767022_2021-REG-1_16314837

Only 4 passes 15+ yards.   Intermediate is technically defined as 11-20, but Jalen basically was throwing behind the LOS to 14 yards... that's it.

I’m good. I’m not the one so jaded against a player that I have to mention a a WR slowing down a quarter of a step on a 91-yard catch that had something like 48 air yards.

Pretty similar to week 1 with some longer shots down the field. Still nothing between the hashes

If this doesn't change, we have to move on from Hurts. It's hard enough to not use the middle of the field. It's even harder when you don't have the arm to zip it from the far harsh to across the field. It just limits the field too much.

I know it wont happen yet, for a long time but I wonder if they could have won that game with Minshew at QB.

Is 48 yards supposed to be impressive, though?

Clearly it's an issue. Many of us are seeing it/saying the same thing.

What about the dreadful pass to Ertz last week? What about the several ducks he threw yesterday?

It's okay. You'll catch on eventually.

Maybe the eagles don’t have enough weapons to put the whole field in play

The pass to Ertz was dreadful. I’ve already addressed the ducks. It’s OK. I’m the one being unbiased here.

Yep.

And how many ducks? I can think of at least 3 or 4 off the top of my head.

Not too mention, while the ball to Quez was a very good throw, he still had to slow down for it.

That ball went approx 45 in the air.

Uh oh!  And so it begins.  I think people are starting to wonder the same thing, but haven't said it yet.

He’ll catch on. Actually, he probably won’t.

And? I can throw a ball 45 yards in the air. 45 yards isn't very impressive.

He put 60 on the incomplete pass to Smith which is about as much as you see anybody put on a pass in a game.

A deep pass that travels around 40 yards and hits the receiver in stride is a much more common highlight than a 60 yarder. Usually, if a QB is throwing it more than 40 yards, it's a late throw, a hail mary, or a desperate heave.

I bet the WR wouldn’t have to slow down at all when you throw it, Uncle Rico.

And that's fair, but I don't need someone to tell me his arm strength isn't an issue based on a ball going 45 yards. Please.

His arm strength is an issue. Many of us see it. If the rest of his game was on point (completion percentage, processing, reading the field, timing, etc) it wouldn't be as big of an issue. Because those things are lacking, it's an issue.

He fixes those and it won't be as major.

He probably would, but I'm not a professional QB.

There are legitimate criticisms of Hurts. Pick the ones that are true (those long ducks to Smith), not the ones that were on the money (Bombs to Reagor, Watkins)

Honestly- I'm totally fine with Hurts this year being a qb, even if he fails horribly.

The higher in the draft order we are the better, we need a franchise QB, and eiether Hurts is it, or he isn't, and if he is not, it's best he fails horribly to help our draft capital.

This season for me, is about developing the younger talent on the team,, WR's OL, LB, DB's etc....

His arm strength is fine, though. He doesn't throw ducks. Those didn't count.

You really could have snapped off that post by ending it with "but neither is Hurts.” Maybe next time.

No one is saying that, Bacarty’s burner.

He had a few nice throws but some were late and caused the wr to have to slow up.

Maybe.

I'll let it go now. Hurts has an elite arm and will be a HoFer.

Feel better?

I assume this is according to PFF.

Sure, Bacarty.
