March 21Mar 21 Here's the truly hysterical part -- the current situation is ideal for the US. Russia's military is engaged and has been seriously degraded to the point that they have to bring in foreign troops. We are sending old military equipment to Ukraine and using this as a reason to replenish and update our stockpiles. And the Europeans have stepped up and are supporting Ukraine as well, sharing the burden. It's basically a homerun situation from a US National Security perspective. So of course the Orange Imbecile wants to abandon Ukraine and hand it to Russia.

March 22Mar 22 Diehard is forgetting/ignoring several things. The first is that Russia has already violated the 2014 agreement to cease hostilities. Any similar agreement now will be ignored by Russian again in the near future - there is zero incentive for Russia to keep their promises. So Ukraine will continue to suffer from Russian aggression. The second that Russia is not "guaranteed" to win. Why couldn't they win after nine years of war in Afghanistan (1980 - 89)? Lastly, military might only goes so far in determining the outcome. Wars have been lost because motivation also plays a significant role. The US "lost" in Vietnam even with an overwhelming advantage in military equipment. What the US did not have was a reason to be there. Vietnam fought for their INDEPENDENCE and that won the war. Ukraine is fighting for their survival/independence today.
