I do have thermal heat but the house is almost 100 years old and not well insulated and when it gets cold enough the thermal unit needs a boost and we end up partly on electric heat. I’ll have a bit of dry pasta and canned/jarred food as well. Plus we usually have a couple large containers of water around. We will have enough to hold out a few weeks or so but not much beyond that.On another topic, I can go out on a balcony from our top floor and see the entrance to the local air raid shelter. It’s built into rock on a hillside and is maybe 75 yards from my house.
