If Hurts is the starting QB again next year, it might be worth considering sprinkling in some single wing concepts with this offense and keeping Reagor as a wing back.

This dude isn’t a wide receiver in the NFL, and isn’t a return man in the NFL. He’s getting pretty close to bust status.

Reagor could still end up being really good.  Some players take longer to adjust to the NFL than others.

I hope you’re right, but frankly I don’t see any flash with the guy. I mean even Quez Watkins has shown potentially more flash than Reagor. Bottom line is the Eagles can’t sink themselves waiting for Reagor to figure things out. We now have three different quarterbacks who basically aren’t looking at Reagor as an option and when they have he’s let them and the team down. Heck Wentz preferred to throw to a PS player over Reager. A practice squad player who just got cut again from a different team just last week. Reagor wouldn’t be on this team if he weren’t a first round pick.

In defense of Reagor,   he has a high top speed,  as does Watkins. 

Looking at NFL Next Gen Stats,  Fastest Ball Carrier,  Reagor ran the 10th fastest - 21.74 mph,  Watkins 12th fastest 21.62. 

best in the league this year 22.13 Jonathan Taylor.

Track speed and game playing speed are two completely different things. We have yet to see any benefit of this so called speed he has.

They measure players when they're playing in games.   They tell you the play they ran very fast in.

Reagor hit that 21.74 on a 22 yard punt return.  You can look at it on the website.   That was the 10th fastest run.  And Watkins was 12.   Hurts made some top 20 of the week,  he runs over 20 mph,  a good number, not many QBs are up there.  Fields is up there,  but Lamar Jackson hasn't been this year.

The Eagles believe in his speed and that’s why they try to get him the ball in space with reverses, returns, and WR screens. The problem here is the player lacks concentration and it hurts his speed and development. He runs poor routes, makes poor decisions on returns, and drops a lot of passes. It doesn’t matter how fast a guy is if he can’t get the ball in his hands. That’s why I don’t think this kid is a wide receiver if he’s an NFL player at all. 

For as bad as he's been, I don't hate the idea of moving Reagor to RB as a last ditch attempt to salvage his career before cutting him. We know he's pretty much a bust at this point but that doesn't mean we can't get something out of him.

Best case scenario, he provides some depth at RB as a rotational piece.

Worse case scenario, he stinks at RB and we cut him anyways.

Low risk, moderate reward type move.

Agreed. I certainly don’t think he’s a guy who should get 20 touches by any stretch, but if they can find a way to get the ball in his hands it could help. There are certainly nuances to the position he would need to learn. I don’t think it would be a good idea to have him pass blocking a lot, but he will need to do it occasionally. In the end it’s just hoping to find a way to get him the ball. At this point literally handing him the ball feels like the best chance to get something out the guy.

The Vikings game tonight reminded me Howie passed up a pretty obvious All Pro receiver for Reagor. Sigh.
