June 11, 20241 yr Eric was very good. Your Honor is going to be coming up soon on the list. People are saying it's up there with breaking bad. But my kids want to watch Godzilla. Probably tomorrow night. Also want to watch Hitman. Got a lot to watch right now.
June 12, 20241 yr We only got about 10 minutes in to godzilla. Kids lost interest quickly. Me and the wife watched Hitman instead then. It got quite good but they could have cut off almost the first hour of the movie. We both nearly went to sleep right before it started getting interesting. Boobs made an appearance but never got the full shot. That's a 1.5/3 point booby bonus. First half of the movie 3/10. Second half of the movie after the hot chick is finally introduced 8/10 + 1.5 point booby bonus.

I somehow got through the entire thing. The 80s theme made it even more cringe. Eric was an unlikeable, stupid character, his kid was a turd, and Vincent also sucked. His wife was almost on Skyler level hate for me, but that hate added nothing to the show. Which Godzilla are you referring to? If it’s Godzilla Minus One, you should force your kids to sit through it, because it’s phenomenal. Your Honor is turning into one the best shows I’ve seen since Breaking Bad. It’s not that good, but nothing is and ever will be.

When the kids left, the wife and I turned it off. I gotta get to Your Honor but now the last 4 episodes of Bridgerton season 3 are out so we will back that up again on Sunday night.
June 17, 20241 yr Minus One is good, but not as all that as I expected. Maybe Im just a victim of the overhype. Scavengers Reign was f'ing fantastic, I binged that ish.

This is very probably a big part of the future of cinema, streaming services having their own theaters. People will bish and whine but you have to admit a Max theater would be pretty sweet.
June 24, 20241 yr Trigger Warning 9.5/10 because Jessica Alba is back in to acting. Your Honor- very good. 7 episodes in. Just about on par with all of the best Netflix shows. It'll probably only rank about even with Bloodline only because both were only 2 seasons but both damn good shows.
July 8, 20241 yr I really enjoyed the new Beverly Hills Cop Movie. Kind of formulaic but the jokes were good and it was entertaining form beginning to end.

I actually watched it a few months ago somewhere, forgot about it, saw the preview on Netflix and thought it looked good and watched it again and realized I already watched it.
July 27, 20241 yr I finished season 1 of Your Honor and watched season 2 ep 1. It's taking a weird direction. I didn't like how season 1 ended that much. I think it should have been a limited series. I'll see how the rest of season 2 goes.
August 7, 20241 yr I didn't really know what Your Honor was about going into it. Finished season 2 last night. For some reason I thought it was going to be about a judge making more lenient decisions considering people's circumstances and weighing his morals against political pressure, like more focus on the different people of New Orleans and a social justice message. Well that was part of it but I had no idea it was going to be a mix of Law & Order, The Wire, The Sopranos, Breaking Bad, Romeo and Juliet with a little bit of Treme. And that in the city of New Orleans literally everything only happens to the same 3 families. It was ok. Too many predictable things, plus some out of left field things. It went over the top and all over the place with the drama. It should have been a limited series of like 12 episodes and done. I would have preferred Cranston as a good hearted judge fighting against a corrupt system and helping the average person as a light hearted more feel-good show. Instead it's impossible not to think of Walter White the entire time. They even cast the old guy in the wheelchair from Breaking Bad.
August 10, 20241 yr A Good Girls Guide to Murder - British YA series based on books, given the not infrequent f bombs and some subject matter, more adult than young, but it is a mostly youngish cast, and they do a good job with the teenage relationships. All in all it’s an easy watch. Only 6 eps, most around 42 minutes. And Emma Myers is adorably perky.

This turned out to be decent. It's a good choice if you just want a military action type. It's entertaining enough.
August 16, 20241 yr I just watched the first episode of Average Joe, and it was pretty decent. I'll stick with it.
