That Fletcher Cox contract was a millstone on the team and for the player he is now, if he doesn't come back, he doesn't come back.  The team needs something more at DT and this isn't a win now situation where you take a risk.  I suppose we'll know how committed he is to the cause if he comes back but I am glad Cox was an Eagle for many years.

Looks like the Colts have a trade ready for Matt Ryan if Watson goes to Atlanta - it may even be part of the comp package for any trade the Falcons make.  Hence the holding pattern they seem to be in on QB.

I would be surprised if Cox is retained but an investment of younger talent is needed at DT.

Sure sounds like the Colts are likely to land the QB that loses the Watson derby whether Ryan or Winston.

I would agree with you if he actually saw the throws and missed them.  He wasn't even looking sort of in the right direction, ever.

You missed the sarcasm genius.  They both haven't gotten better.  Do you get it now?

That's the only direction he did look

Colts fans going to be disappointed when Ryan looks even worse than wentz as he was not good last year. I hope he’s good behind a better oline but he just looked close to done last year.

I agree, but I suppose they looked at what they got from a cooked Rivers and think they can get more about Ryan, even for a year or two.  They have nothing much to lose.

Same as me. The team has got by at DT for a number of seasons; it needs depth that isn't a DE coming inside or a Shittu or Ridgway.  Williams is a good start, but it needs so much more

Well the question you seem to be completely flustered

Ironic.  The guy who has half the board on ignore because he gets flustered calling out people for being flustered.

I'm also ignored.

Fun fact, Baker Mayfield has had his QBR increase every single season aside from this past one when he had a torn labrum. Only Hurts can improve though, Baker is the worst QB in football based on one season.

And no, I'm not advocating us getting him. Just pointing out that he, unsurprisingly, is way off base.

Great example.  "Improving” doesn’t make a bad qb good enough.

This is a nice DT class. Davis, Wyatt, Winfrey, Jones. Then you have Hall and Leal. I'm coveting Davis, but any one of those top 4 would be a great addition. Winfrey may be the best one but doesn't get the buzz as the others.

Hurts or baker as QB

How had Jalen Hurts not improved from his rookie year?  Dramatically improved his completion percentage, improved his interception rate, greatly reduced his fumble rate, improved his adjusted yards gained per pass attempt, improved his passer rating, improved his QBR, reduced his sack % and dramatically improved his win percentage.

And also with Mattissee on the offensive end it isn't that he hasn't gotten better, it's that he has actually gotten worse.  His rookie season on actually more attempts per game than this season was shooting a much higher 3 point percentage at 36% where he is shooting a dreadful 29% this season.  While he has elite defense he has actually regressed as an offensive player since his rookie season.

The sportrac projected market value for Jarvis Landey is about 12 million.

Yes or no?

They also project Crowder to cost that much. And 7M for AJ Green.

I think we can go in on Landry. He and Smith, 2 beasts. Immeasurable improvement over Ward.

In addition, if wither of RayRay McCloud or Hamilton would be super cheap Id be interested signing them as a returner. Either could take Reagor's spot and we wouldnt miss a beat. Probably even improve, on offense in their limited opportunities.

Save WR for the draft

We couldn’t even get Smith enough targets last year, how are we going to get two good wide receivers enough targets?

i see landry going to a team like the chiefs. He’d be an awesome compliment to hill and kelce

By drafting Carson Strong possibly.

I would take Baker every day and all day over Hurts

His beard also got thicker, he got better shoes and he got better at driving stick.  Our future franchise QB!

Why do we need Baker when we have Minshew? It’s the same guy minus the ints

F*** it just let Greg ward play QB next year cause then we will be awful enough to get CJ stroud

If Cox isn't re-signed I'm assuming we're using all 3 picks in the 1st. DE, DT and CB most likely.

"Wait for it”. Willie Wonka

I can't imagine what it's like to ask Deshaun Watson where he wants to get dinner from
