This was my thought. Raiders were the best possible escape plan for Adams.

I’m wondering how many other teams were interested or he only wanted to go to the raiders if not GB. I’m guessing the market would’ve been there for a player of his skill level. Not sure how many teams could pay him that though.

I actually don’t mind it for the raiders. Basically stacked on offense with Adams, renfroe, Waller and jacobs. Don’t give up future picks so it’s really hurting you this upcoming draft but I’m guessing Adams is better than any first round pick they are gonna get at 22 and he’s in his prime.

That's craziness for a receiver who will be 30 next year for a team that isn't likely to be a real contender in the next couple of seasons.

Looks like no Philly reunion with Rasul.

Packers should now try to trade for Metcalf.

Great LTs and DEs are much harder to find. Seems like stud WRs get drafted in the 2nd round all the time.

Trade seems dumb for both teams. Packers are a win now team and with Rodgers at his age, a rookie WR wouldn’t help as much. The Raiders on the other hand are sacrificing their future in a division they have no chance of winning because they have the worst QB in the division.

He wanted to go to LV.

A lot of folks seem to think the Packers got fleeced. I disagree.

Sure Josina. They had a really hard time fitting that vet minimum deal in

Makes sense then. I had a feeling it was Vegas or just stay with GB

How did they get fleeced? The absolute max they could get would be 2 1sts

I don't think they did, but he's so critical to their success.

Right, for the franchise tag. Just reading those comments and lots of folks crapping on the Packers.

Agreed. Kind of feels like a lose lose situation.

I don’t think they got fleeced now that it came out it was Vegas or return to Green Bay. So it wasn’t a bidders market to drive the price up.

Frankly it’s not a bad deal for Vegas. Keep future draft picks. They weren’t going to get a player at 22 that’s anywhere near the talent of Adams to help compete.  carr isn’t getting any younger at 31 nor is the division gonna get easier the next 2-3 years. So either have to go for a big splash to try to compete with the broncos, KC and chargers or just completely tear down and rebuild and work your way up to that level.

I'm guessing Odell lands in Green Bay and I'm sure they'll draft a WR in the first round.

Good question, can't see wr surpassing LT in value to teams but the way the league is going DEs aren't as impactful as they have been in the past

Everyone talks about how far off the eagles are and how many holes they have. Only one dude seems to really believe in the QB.

And then those same people say howie is asleep at the wheel because they aren’t spending big money to splash in FA.

If they are that far off, we should want them to build through the draft, clean up the cap situation and go at it hard in 2-3 years.

They are... and yes, absolutely.  Just wish it were someone else fixing it and making the draft picks.

GB fans are gonna overreact cause they think he’s worth 2 firsts. Issue was Vegas or whoever was also going to have to pay him. So that wasn’t gonna happen. It’s a solid return with the info it wasn’t a bidders market as he only wanted Vegas.

it isn’t ideal for GB but he wanted out. So getting that type of capital for a WR is pretty solid hail. It’s a good deal for the raiders as they needed an impact player to compete in that division. They weren’t going to do a rebuild with carr being 31. So either would’ve had to completely blow it up, stay status quo where they likely finish in 4th or make a bold big time move for a impact player like Adams. They still have their 2023 picks so Adams or 22 and 53 this year? Depends on how you see it. I’m guessing they didn’t think whoever at 22 and 53 was worth the potential big time impact Adams is

Adams has been injured and will be 30 next year. Major risk for the Raiders, but I can see your point.

I guess the Packers could double dip at WR in the 1st 2 rounds. Build out a deeper group since it's less likely they'll have one stud playmaker next year.
