So far to me both Malik and Pickett look better than Hurts

You set a high bar, sir.

Sure, the price of QB's is increasing but that shouldn't be the reason to panic and talk yourself into drafting a QB. The salary cap is also increasing, and QB's have taken up roughly the same percentage of the cap since at least 2015. In 2018 the top 3 QB cap hits took up roughly 16.7% of the cap, so far in 2022 it is 16.6%.

Please no

I have a sinking suspicion there’s no market for him and we’ll get him back at a 1 yr cheap deal. Like 4m or less

So just that one throw where he had to scramble away from a middle aged coach and he launches it as far as he can throw it is it?

everyone is happy he can throw it 65 yards and hit the WR....

I'd rather not get a QB who likes to run more than throw the ball. Do you guys like torture or something?

Went through a PFF mock on default. Set parameters were to take the highest ranked player on their board at each of our picks without duplicating a position. Turned out crappier than I thought it would, even though I earned an A- for effort.

In shorts and a t-shirt. May as well been in his own backyard with the boys. No one ever questioned his arm strength or athletic ability, but in games, it's been a different story.

This is me, I'll say it this way, Qb's who rely on their athletic ability (running) rarely develop into great NFL QB's.  They never had to learn to read defenses post snap, because when it breaks down, they just bail and try to make it work with their athleticism. This makes great highlights, but doesn't translate well into winning Championships. When the majority of SB's are won by running QB's that when I will want one.

One of my new fav prospects.

Yea because all QBs can throw it 75 yards , in shorts

So because he can throw it 75 yards that means he's a good QB? I know you don't believe that. Arm strength is damn impressive, but that was never the question.

They sound misinformed.

They are. My issue with the Athletic Eagles beat is that they can't figure out what they want. They want to rebuild, but are also upset that the Eagles didn't overspend on Marcus Williams and Justin Reid. You can't have it both ways.

Marcus Williams is a great rebuilding piece. Singing a 25 year old defensive cornerstone is the definition of rebuilding.

Big McCollum fan here. Could be a day 3 gem.

Matt Ryan didn't even want to come back to his home team.

right.

And, complaining about the Cox deal when the eagles saved money on it... It sounds like they are still under the impression that they paid him all 15M back.

See the source image

I’m fine with taking Pickett if he falls to 15. Other than hand size, I don’t see what not to like. He gets the ball out quickly, makes timing throws, has a good deep ball. That’s pretty much what I’m looking for at QB. And his interviews show he’s pretty smart and seems like a good leader.  Joe Burrow has smaller hands and only one really good year. I’m not saying he’s Burrow, but I’d be willing to take a swing. I’ve been of the mindset we need to take 3 defensive players in the first, but the more I see of Pickett the more I like.

He would’ve said that to whatever team traded for him.

So the Eagles took out Kenny Pickett for dinner and he passed the hand test when he did not drop his fork or spoon….
