If we draft a QB this year, Hurts gets moved, Minshew starts and the rookie holds the clipboard.

This, 100% this.  Let Minshew start and Ridder / Strong can hold the clipboard for a year.

In that scenario what does hurts fetch in a trade?

We talking about Malik Willis?  That guy isn't even an especially good running QB.  He disappeared in bigger games.

Sorry. I thought the Jameis comparison was with Mayfield.

I’m 100% with you on Willis. The only QB’s who interest me in this draft are Carson Strong (medical issue?) and Aqeel Glass late.

What's the thought process behind that belief? Minshew forced his way out of Jacksonville when they drafted a rookie and then was lobbying the HC and GM for the starting job here.  He wants no part of mentoring a young rookie QB.

Time for the mental gymnastics of denial from this blog just like during the whole Watson situation.

Who the F is Jamie Lynch?

Works on the 97.5 morning show.  He was quoting Adam Schefter who appeared on their show.

I think his name is great.  Not sure the reference.

You have never seen South Park I assume.  The underwear gnomes stole Tweek's underwear.

Minshew gets a chance to start and increase his value to the eagles and or 31 other teams...

They’d ideally have to trade him before or on draft weekend before taking a QB or his stock tumbles. I’d pray for a 2nd round pick.

The belief is that he will be the starter for 2022, then his contract is up. Have a good year, and go get a starting job elsewhere.

SEA and PIT seem like the obvious market; Tomlin says they want a mobile QB.

I feel like SEA will draft Willis at #9, and PIT might draft Sam Howell at #20, though.

I saw an ep or two 20 years ago when it first came out.  But wouldn't have remembered that.

I think you'd enjoy it. They do a good job of making fun of everybody, from all sides. But especially the woke mob, Trey and Matt really hate the woke mob and it's hilarious.

Maybe he can go play in Jax and backup Lawrence plus play some gadget. We know Doug likes him. I’d take 65 or 70 for him in the 3rd.

No we won't.  We'll have more of the same..  Underwhelming WR group because of crap drafting by a crap GM.  More goofy sayings and golly gee gosh BS from Nick.  And on top of that, we have 3 Qb's on the roster than aren't the guy going forward.  When you have 3 QB's, you don't have 1.

You won't learn ish about a supposed Head Coach until that Head Coach gets his QB.  Not a guy, coming off an injury, overrated to begin with and kind of a ****.

I remember when the Lions had Rodney Peete, Erik Kramer and Andre Ware.   Good times.

Anything

Realistic his trade value goes down soon as we draft a QB, so maybe wait till a preseason injury?

Cut him?

A 5th?

I’d pray for a 2nd and expect a 3rd.

The HBCU thing is so dumb. Scouts go to Podunk State if there is a talent there worth evaluating for their team. Put out better players and they’ll get more attention.

I don't think Deion believes it. It's just a leverage button to push with NFL franchises to help his college program. It is calculated to help him with recruits and his team.

Rather have Baker than Hurts especially if he's available for les than a 3rd

Why?  The maturity?  The availability?

I know.  I've seen clips over the years.  I know the general deal.  Just was never into it.

I'm cynical enough.  I don't need any more motivation.

Maybe we can trade him to Jax for 2 of our firsts, Cox, Howie and a 2024 first for Lawrence.

Lol it definitely has what would be your favorite character:

I have no idea what this plan for next year is? You want the Eagles to draft Ridder and Strong?

I like both ridder and strong in the 2nd, no way in the first.

Too many better players at other positions.

Hurts moves to RB.

While I fully support getting what we can now, it will take alot of praying to get a second or third.   He hasn't shown anything major to improve his initial draft grading of 4th or later.

Yeah, that’s too much.

He is a big part of that offense , all these moves on that side of the ball , Brady is calling

grand scheme of things . It’s nothing , plus it allows them to draft elsewhere

While I think the Eagles are doing their due diligence with the QBs, this is a franchise that is admitted to doing homework on QBs just in case there may interest down the road. Didn’t Lurie attend Geno Smith’s pro day, and it turned out it was all just a smoke screen?

Clearly meant "or."

Completely agreed. Only way I'd take Ridder, Howell or Strong in R1 is if they trade down with Detroit for 32/34 and they take one with 32 to get the option year.

I think a 3rd is doable. A 2nd would take a RedskinsWFT, Commanders level bungling.
