It isn't disengenius at all especially when you cite the QB as the main reason they were 4-11-1 last year.

If you want to win a SB then you need to put together a better roster, especially on defense.  You also need to continue to let your young QB develop especially when he took a step forward in year two and took the team to the playoffs his first season as a starter.

You think that the broken down OL didn't play a major role in that?     It is disingenuous to claim the QB was the reason they were 4-11-1.  Just as its disingenuous to say that the QB is the reason that they were 9-8 this year.   Football is a team sport... always has been.  QB may be the most important position, but by himself, the QB can do nothing.  He needs the supporting cast.

Fields hasn't had much of a chance yet.  We'll see how he does in year 2 with maybe a good HC.

Dak is really good as long as he has 2-3 all pro WRs to throw to.  Kyler is kinda overrated.  He was better when Hopkins was healthy.

I don't think Fields is any good. He's another running qb who sucks at passing

Well, if you go by all the statistics of Quarterbacking... he's not.

What QB stat are you using to measure that Hurts is actually better than Minshew?   Yards?  TD/INT ratio?  Air yards/attempt?  Rating?  QBR?  4th quarter comebacks?  GWDs?

What's your measurement device?

I didn't say anywhere that there can't be a completion between him and Minshew in the summer.  If they want to do that then they can but I doubt Minshew wins that. For all of the complains about Hurts arm, he has a better arm than Minshew and also has the ability as a runner to just makes him more effective than Minshew.

Sure.   He's more effective, but that doesn't make the TEAM more effective.

The more I read about Strong, the more I'm hesitant. Between the injury, gimmick offensive system, and terrible competition. I don't know how you can draft him in the 1st and hand him the keys to the franchise.

The arm talent is special, Herbert level special, prototypical size, smart, accurate, good character - but too many red flag.

I mean it's an air raid offense.  I am not sure it's much different than what Lavell Edwards ran for years at BYU.  The same system Jim McMahon and Steve Young played.  I think the question of scheme in school doesn't make much difference.  I don't think the throws he is making are gimmick throws.  I don't think he has 5 progression reads but I don't think any college player does.  I also think the level of competition matters less for QB than any other position.  The reality is that he's throwing the ball to similar quality athletes that are defending the passes.  I don't think more competitive programs run more advanced defensive coverages.  He apparently had his knee checked by an NFL doctor prior to returning to play this season.  I would imagine team's will thoroughly look at the knee.  In terms of size and arm strength, he's an NFL prospect.  I am not sure why he's not being touted as a sure number one but I think it's because the current internet draft experts have no real insight into how NFL teams are valuing him and other QBs.   I mean Trey Lance had less of a pedigree than any of the picks this season and he was the third pick overall.

Honestly, I don't think the results of the season matter at all to Rodgers. He hates the FO and wants out. I think he would relish the chance to go somewhere else and win to show everyone that he made the FO and coaching staff look better than they are.

Who does Rodgers like besides Rodgers? It wouldn't surprise me if you were right but I don't feel certain about anything with him.

Hurts is sure going to win the rushing yards/game.

It's pretty evident, if we get Watson, we have the Conference's best QB for the foreseeable future.

I bet he catches the ball better than he tackles.

He still might be innocent though

I'm pretty sure we've got enough information to say he's not 'innocent' (which is different from 'not guilty'), the only question remaining is if he's 'guilty'.    Nothing 'innocent' about what has been reported... even if consensual.

Over Hurts? Hell yeah!

But my social media game is very weak.   BUT... I can clear my throat and talk about putting my guys in better position to make plays.  Maybe I could be the HC.

Not going to read all of the stats.  Look what Jones had to play behind and then what Hurts played behind.  Jones has an NFL arm at least.  Hurts doesn't.  And I won't call either one of them trash.

Put Jones in the dumb down offense that they gave Hurts....I guarantee you, he would be better than Hurts.  No doubt in my mind.

It's so situational that I can't disagree but I just don't think Jones is good.  It's the same with Darnold.  He can throw it better but he's also still a crappy QB.

Conceded, but that's never been my measuring stick for a QB.

Mine either, running backs are both cheaper and more plentiful than NFL quality quarterbacks but it is for the Hurts Humpers.

Yeah, everyone wants another Wilson or Mahomes and teams keep thinking they can take QB who suck throwing the ball and develop them. If someone like Patrick is there grab him, but I'd rather have a QB who is a statue that needs to work on accuracy but has shown ability reading defenses and making quick decisions like Brady, Brees, Manning and now Herbert and Burrow vs all these running QB projects we are seeing in the league.

Mailata, Dickerson, Goedert, Watkins. Not as many as I would have liked.

I'd agree with all but DG, and add Gainwell.  DG's drops became too frequent toward the end of the season.

If consensual would you change your stance?

I don't understand where all this "he hasn't progressed" nonsense comes from. There was clear progression across multiple games in multiple key areas, and it proves why beyond a shadow of a doubt he deserves to be the starter at QB as well as have that C on his chest entering the year 2022. People want to bring up the competition all the time, but you only play whose on the schedule. Outside of that, he was basically a rookie this year. And also had at least 3 different coaches, play callers, offensive coordinators and offensive schemes he had to learn and adapt to. Also had tons of new pieces come in and go that he had to learn to grow with. He overcame all of that to improve his game substantially. Outside of all that, he's had to overcome a lot. He had the starting job but unfortunately the coaching staff decided to go with Tua Tagovailoa instead and never gave him a fair opportunity to reclaim his job. He's a stand up kid whose been playing Quarterback his whole life from Highschool to being a redshirt freshman all the way through his senior year. Frankly, if he was eligible I would have extended his contract already to make sure he's locked in for years to come. Now lets take a look at the stats, and I will show exactly where he improved.

Week 1: 6/10, 60%, 51 yards, 0 TD, 0 INT, 73.33 passer rating (not the best stats but he was thrown in the water feet first and managed to tread above water)

Week 2: 2/2, 100% 👀, 7 yards, 1 TD, 0 INT, 120.83 passer rating  (to be fair he benefited from a strong run game so yards are a little low, but he executed the plays he needed to with perfection)

Week 3: 22/33, 67% :showoff:, 343 yards 👀👀👀, 2 TD's, 1 INT, 108.52 passer rating  (Clutch on the road, beating a playoff starting QB in Burrow, leading his team to a 4Q Come back as well as engineering a GWD.)

THAT, is steady progression across the map, and THAT is why Reid Sinnett should be the unquestioned starter in 2022.

I'm a Sanders' defender, but plays like this are brutal.

If consensual, they likely wouldn't have filed civil suit against him.

But, either way, I wouldn't be happy with the team trading away what it would cost to bring him here.  That's too much for him.

Looking around the NFL, all the great young QBs are in the AFC.

Whose the young stud QB in the NFC? Kyler? Lance? Fields? Dak?

We get a guy like Watson, he will rule the NFC for years to come.

I can't get past the allegations.

Sorry.
