Put the show on. Not some weak arse effort where you don't care if you lose.It would have been much better to be undefeated in Group play, riding a win streak into the elimination rounds.

I also see the logic in making sure the guys with a yellow card don’t get suspended for the 1st game of the knockout round.

It gets tired fast. You are a guest in the host nation for the World Cup. Respect their culture the same way people did when it was in Qatar back in 2022.Supposedly FIFA bans political items from being brought into the stadiums and the Iranian and Egyptian teams claim the pride flag is a political item. That’s the rule for exactly the reason you say, so everyone can be respectful and tolerant of each other. Imagine people brought in Trump signs or MAGA hats.

But no one will criticize them for it like they do Catholics in fear of being called Islamophobic. Again, they’re a guest in the host country so deal with it.
June 30Jun 30 Germany didn't come with any urgency and a bad VAR overturn and the weaker penalty performance and the jig is up. Teams like England, Argentina, and France need to come out and dominate from minute one or they all risk an early and surprising exit.

If you can't score goals without impeding the keeper's ability to get into position to make a save, then you deserve to be sent home by Paraguay.
July 1Jul 1 USMNT favored by 2.7 goals. Over/under is 2.5 goals.US plays Bosnia & Herzogovina. Will the US play Bosnia first and then Herzogovina? Or the other way around?Tough draw for US having to play two teams in one night.

July 2Jul 2 Red card on Balogun? That’s harsh . So does that mean he won’t be available next game if they advance?

July 2Jul 2 Tillman for president!!!WOOOOOOOOOOOOO! What a strike. Didn't end up needing it but in the moment that was huge for giving us breathing room. What an awful call on that red though. The implication that he did that with intent was complete horseshit.

They look like dogshit one minute and then like contenders the next. Just depends which one we'll get on Monday. We're actually slight favorites as it stands right now.

This game or next.Balogun is a huge loss (assuming the appeal is rejected which I expect) but Belgium hasn’t exactly looked great and it’s no longer the golden generation. Hazard is done, De Bruyne is 35, etc.The US looks to be in really good form at the moment. Obviously we will be up against, but I could see us steal this match. After that though, it’s probably Spain. And I don’t see us winning that one.
July 2Jul 2 The appeal should be reversed easily, absolutely zero intent, literally no different than any other challenge that misses the mark. That exact same challenge happens 100 times a game, this time he happened to accidentally step on the guy's ankle
