August 3, 20205 yr Started watching Upload yesterday and I’m now halfway through the first season. I really enjoy this show. The previews for the show got me interested. The premise is a basic background, but goes much more into it, which makes it more entertaining. They could’ve just focused on the guy being uploaded (basically dead, but now living in a virtual world instead), but I’m glad they don’t do that.

Was nice to get a movie with a happy ending for once even with the last minute scare at the end

August 19, 20205 yr Watching the Worlds Toughest Race. It’s like Amazing Race meets Alone. It’s crazy what these people are doing.

So it’s alone in the sense that it’s literally man versus nature. It’s not really about survival skills and more adventure, expedition like. But you get these insane adventure racers who do it professionally just tearing up the course then like some amateurs just trying to not get eliminated by the mandatory check in times. Essentially it’s an 11 day race across Fiji, where teams of 4 do all sorts of disciplines like rowing, hiking, canyoneering, climbing, stand up paddle boarding, rafting, mountain biking. If one team member gets hurt or needs to be pulled the whole team is done. Teams literally move from leg to leg and have to decide for themselves if and when they want to rest (save for certain mandatory rest stops - and those are only about 90 minutes long). It’s insane what some of these teams are capable of doing on next to no sleep or food.

There are ways to unlock them, I know the LG one we have is an absolute bish to do so I haven't done it. The Panasonic Blu-Ray recorder works though with my US region locked Friday Night Lights thankfully.
August 24, 20205 yr A nice list of British shows all highly rated on IMDb on Prime https://www.iheartbritishtv.com/top-10-british-tv-shows-streaming-on-amazon-prime-video-us/ Just don’t forget to enable subtitles, they don’t speak english that well

The only worse British list out there somewhere would be their top 10 foods.

I had already watched several before seeing this list Line of Duty, Poldark were excellent Good Omens was decent. Correct me if I’m wrong but aren’t you more into horror and superhero stuff ? yeah none of that here. I mean none of these are Peeky, Narcos or BB worthy but not much is. Anything you like that is rated worthy by IMDb standards, at least 7+ ? Thanks British food - fish and chips, shepherds pie, scotch egg, steak and kidney pie and anything he’s having

I liked the Umbrella Academy and the Boys was decent, but other than that, I don't really like anything superhero. Good info on British food. I do in fact love a good Sheperd's Pie.

Rated No.1 greatest cookbook by of course a British tabloid https://www.telegraph.co.uk/food-and-drink/news/25-greatest-cookbooks-of-all-time/nose-to-tail-eating/ I don’t know if I’d go all in but pretty far relatively speaking, isn’t that just offal ?
September 17, 20204 yr Started Sneaky Pete last night after a couple years long recommendations - 2 episodes in so far and liking it. Didn't know it was written by the guy who did Justified...
September 19, 20204 yr Starting to like the trailer before an episode. Found some interesting shows that I put in my watchlist. Only negative is the previews of The Boys because I want to wait until the season ends to watch

I prefer to not know anything going into it.
September 21, 20204 yr Upload was pretty good. It's interesting. They had a nice plot twist at the end
