George Pickens is trending and man people are raving about him in Steelers camp.  I wanted him to be an Eagle.  He's a bit crazy but man the attitude, if he keeps his head straight is something I love.  Steelers just know WR.

I said it a few days back but I think he has a better year than any Eagles WR.  I know they have Claypool, Freiermut, Johnson and Najee had an absurd amount of catches last year but I think he's going to rise to the top.

I'm sorry I brough such a depressing topic into the blog.  A little back story without too much detail. I met my friend 12 years ago during an AF commissioning program. He was on top of the world

Good thing Ewers, the top 2022 QB came out in 2021. With Manning joining Texas next season, Ewers gets 2 seasons since Manning is reportedly red-shirting next year. Ewers is Texas’s highest QB recruit since at least Vince Young.

Must be fun for other teams to work out a deal for a player that represents himself, doing that w/o getting a tampering charge has to be a nightmare.
If he goes to Miami they’ll lose another 1st round pick,  j/k…., maybe.

Problem is their QB situation.

one step further.  Trubisky will have a better statistical season than Hurts.

"Your crowd”?  Grow up dude.  And do yourself a favor and check the reports before you post.  😂

The mental gymnastics you go through is hilarious.

"your crowd" = the  parrots

Funny. I will never see every tweet, but wasn't it you last year calling me out for siting reports at practices I wasn't in attendance for? I guess  practice is only for ****-and-moan posters.

I’m cheering for Hurts to develop, but everything he’s saying and doing through OTAs and training camp indicates he will be the same player as last season.

I find this very laughable, and it’s not just because I’m not a Hurts believer. I don’t believe we will see another "dynasty” in the NFL for a long time, if ever. I think the last dynasty died out when Brady left NE. I just don’t see it happening again.

In Pop/Pee Wee up to HS they blow the whistle on time. There is no running in a 7x7.  I have played. I have watched 2 kids and 3 grandkids play. I watched one last night. I am the expert of all experts in the world on 7x7 at those levels, lol.  NFW you can run in a 7x7, ever.  I get that in the pros they don't whistle it out but then he is just supposed to throw it into the ground (like he did a few times).

And where they MUST BE working on pocket presence (please G-d tell me they are), it is bananas.

I'm bummed by it.  Because it is hard wired into our guy.  And that ****s. Sigh.

Calling me obtuse is Swoop's thing. The 2nd joke is 4for4's ignorant, recycled catch phrase. Find your own schtick. You guys are freakin' parrots.

You know, you have a lot of courage. It can’t be easy getting out of bed every day, and just, be you. Congrats.

Also, you can apologize anytime now.

I almost think Chargers could be the next one. Their QB is very young and they have a ton of talent

No.  I called you out for celebrating that the Hurts dominated the Patriots defense in a closed joint practice.  You were "citing” reports.  Not "siting”.  😂

And yes, the reports this year has been that he took off running on 7V7 drills.  But you can pretend that posters in here made it up, if that makes you sleep better tonight.

And I called you out  for claiming I ever celebrated Hurts last offseason. You even searched all my posts after I challenged you to back up your false claim last time. Yet, here you are believing your own lies again. I did get excited about our WRs getting open and making plays in practice vs a good secondary and specifically against JC Jackson. But there weren't any "celebrations" by me about Hurts.

That he is, but in just a few years, actually, after this coming year, Herbert will be eligible for his contract extension. History shows that it starts getting harder and harder to keep a full competitive team that wins one championship, much less multiple after paying the QB. It could certainly happen that they get one with him, but I have doubts they get 3 in a 5 year or so span.

You’re lying again.  Since when did I search your posts?   Hahaha.   You’re so desperate you’re making things up.  You should site other pots or topix

Here's the proof. It's clear your memory is poor:

I was getting notifications for posts I made over a year ago. I love it when liars call me the liar.

Very true. I completely forgot about the mega contracts QBs get. Though with his age I could see them doing one of those really long term contracts that Mahomes has

Bengals have a shot too. Elite young QB and WR in a rookie deal is huge. But for it to truly be a dynasty those guys be would have to stick around and they'd have to be able to replenish talent around their top end contracts, which will be tough nowadays.

It’s not a schtick when it is what you said.   And it was the 9th ranked defense @TorontoEagle

Sorry, can you put that in parrot talk please

Nice effort champ.  You’re known for that ridiculous claim last year.  Just own up to it and we might leave you be.

He’s already doubling down with the "Hurts isn’t running” take

I wonder if the next CBA will be negotiated to have some component of the QB salaries being dealt with. QBs would obviously hate it, but there’s 50 other guys on a roster that wouldn’t.

Herbert vs Mahomes looks like it can be a lot of fun for a number of years to come. I imagine it's gotta be stressful being a Charger or Chiefs fan during those games. I hate when any of our rivals has a decent QB, much less a great one.

Show me the post. You can go back to the post I just brought up and see we already had this discussion. You are wrong and just can't accept it. I was no fan of Hurts before last season or at all through the preseason. I was still upset about how the team / Wentz fiasco went and was not onboard with Hurts at that time.

It'll be interesting because some position contracts are getting extremely high

I agree. Those games are going to be very fun to watch

Thankfully our division isn't exactly stellar lol

Most of us primarily follow the salary cap from an arm chair gm perspective.  It’s fun to allocate resources to solve a puzzle.

I wonder if the nfl is developing a wage gap problem.  We hear all the sob stories about most NFL players having nothing in the bank a few years after retirement…and the brevity of a typical career.  I wonder how the gap between the 10 highest salaries on the roster vs the next 43 has evolved over time.  (My suspicion is that a gap is widening somewhere between top and bottom). That’s an issue for the players union to sort out.  They advocate for players over owners (which is their job to do), but no one looks out for the interests of the lesser players versus the stars.  It’s fine to just leave it to the free market too, but if anyone gets sick of qbs just eating up the entire cap, I could see players advocating for some change there.
