I dont think we need to see Minshew at all. He is the #2, and we know exactly what he is and what he can do. And if Sinnett wins the #2 with great performance, then Minshew should just be traded. Either way we gain nothing from seeing him play tonight.

Reports throughout training camp have been that Minshew really hasn't looked good at all.  I'd imagine both the Eagles and Minshew would want to give him a good amount of work in the preseason games to snap out of whatever funk he is in.  That's a pretty important gain for the Eagles.  Much more so than playing the 4th string QB who won't be making the team.

This kinda stuff is infuriating. Put Wentz with a personality transplant on this team and we're talking Super Bowl or bust.

I think it's funny.  Carson Wentz was better than Jalen Hurts in nearly every passing category yet he's considered a bad quarterback.  There are those that see Hurts for what he is and others who swear he's got the stuff to be a great QB.  I get that Wentz is polarizing and we really don't know everything about what happened but goodness, the hate for him amazes me.

This reporter is getting kudos for going for the gusto and asking the "tough" questions.  Hurts hasn't exactly lit it up this training camp either.  What would the reaction be if John Clarke sat down with him and said, look Jalen you've been running a lot in 7v7s when we all know you need to focus on throwing the ball....

That dude is the king of bad karma,

Ruben Randle never played another regular season snap in the NFL after the RTK kiss of death

Eagles won the Super Bowl after RTK declared the season over

Jalen Hurts iish all over himself in the playoff game, after RTK ran his mouth for a week how stupid we’re all gonna look when he dominates.  Dude was so wrong on this take, he couldn’t even wait till the game was over, he put me on ignore at halftime

And then there is the ultimate karma, couldn’t stand that Nick Foles won the Super Bowl, ran his mouth about him so much that he got banned from the previous EMB

Pretty much a lock he makes it now.

I think Dave Zangaro looks a lot like @greend

If he has been outpreformed by Sinnett, trade him.

You play him in the pre-season and he looks bad, he has no trade value at all anymore.

Right now you sit him saying you know his role and you are letting the other guys compete. Preserve his value, and trade him.

Well you would hope that Wentz was better in passing categories in that he was 6 year vet playing under the offensive coach that supposedly knew how to get the best out of him.

Wentz's season would have been looked back upon a lot differently though if he didn't have that meltdown against Jacksonville in the final week that booted the Colts from the playoffs.  I thought he did a really good job for the most part turning things around in his career to recover from how terrible he was in 2020.  But that game was a return to 2020 Wentz and for it to happen when it did to remove the Colts from the playoffs against such a bad team, that is really what changed the narrative on him.  Especially then when the Colts organization made it so clear how much they hated him and who he was behind the scenes.  Wentz is playing for his career as a starter this year no doubt.  If he doesn't work out in Washington this year then he isn't getting another starting job.  His apparent attitude and ego problems might hurt his ability to land a backup job so he's going to need to humble himself real quick if that becomes his only remaining path.

I'll take Carson Went's "meltdown" against the Jags over Jalen Hurts worst game of the season last year against the Giants 10 times out of 10.

Playoffs weren't on the line against the Giants in week 10.  Also in that Giants game, Jalen threw two passes to Reagor that hit both hit his hands and if he would have caught either of them then the Eagles would have won.

They pretty much were in week 17 in Washington though.  Jalen was 65.4%, 214 yards, 0 TD & 0 interceptions but some big clutch plays and a 90.2 QB rating to go along with 7 rushes for 44 yards.

Id like to see a lot of Jordan Davis and Nakobe Dean tonight.

Id love to see one of the backup CBs make plays. Jobe, Gowan, etc.

Want to see Covey make a few plays. Hopefully get an opportunity to return a punt.

This place can be insufferable at times.

I am looking for two things.

I want to see the starters get some reps together.
I want to see no injuries.

Having some players really flash some ability would be a bonus.

Is Calcaterra playing?

I feel like any 2nd string pass catching will fare pretty well with Minshew. Reagor might even go off.

He hasn't practiced since like the 2nd practice if I'm not mistaken.

On top of all the above mentioned, I want to know what comes of the bacarty eaglephan1986 showdown

My MVP bet for tonight is be Dean

Why is there nobody there?

Mild is the general reaction to Hurts throwing a football.

Speaking of, is Hurts gonna play, or did he poop his pants.

Out in the parking lot waiting to see @EaglePhan1986 and @Bacarty2 throw hands.

Watson showing rust and Browns lose a player to injury

facemask wasn't called

He's also reporting Calcaterra is out but that's not a big surprise.
