Never been but Red Rocks would be really cool.

Back in the day when Metallica black album came out there was a venue called wolf mountain, up by park City Utah, they changed the name to park west or something like that.

It's an outdoor venue right on the side of the mountain

We actually left early because a bunch of people had started multiple big ole fires and were dancing around them and people were tossing glass bottles in them.

I didn't really want to die at a Metallica concert.🤷‍♂️

Saw a band at Red Rocks in 2019, Blue Sky Bluegrass. Yeah, not the most striking name, my niece was dating the Dobro player at the time. Flew out for a Colorado visit. Excellent covers of most of the Rockabilly stuff, lotsa Rodney Crowell, Bonnie Raitt, some John Prine, a few originals, good vocals. guys could play.

Red Rocks is a unique venue, acoustically sound, intimate feeling, good sight lines from everywhere and no kidding in the middle of a red rock Canyon. .Love the Front Range, Estes Park, Garden of the Gods etc...access to all the Rocky Mnts from about anywhere. The whole get there, enjoy and party thing is half the fun. Music the other half.

I'd move to Colorado if they had an Ocean out their front door....:smoke:

Speaking of muscle cars.  I just saw that Dodge announced next year is the last year for the Charger and Challenger and no more Hemi production...EV.  The Corvette is going EV and the Camaro is getting axed for an EV sedan.

I understand the need to have EV options but I think it's a really bad move to go straight to EV and not have a combustion engine option at all.  There are a lot of people out there who will never get an EV.  It's just not feasible to have the entire country buy an EV let alone having a power grid to support them.

Hybrids are coming on for that reason, for a lot of families, an EV for around the town and a hybrid for long trips.

Hybrids double the gas mileage, give you great acceleration but also have a lot longer range.

They're a good compromise until improvements in battery technology (double both the range and the charging rate) make EVs more feasible for most people.

Because anyone carrying a gun is apt to lose their mind and just start shooting up the place.

Not directed at you DBhawk, just putting this out there..

Gonna say this just once.

Carrying a gun is not about aggression, it is about self defense. A REASONABLE individual, properly trained, does not involve their gun in a shouting match. The weapon is available for life-threatening situations and to protect others from the same.

A REASONABLE individual will be extremely reluctant to employ their weapon.

On the other hand, don't break into my house or try to carjack me.

Get it?

Speaking of @austinfan, I did not see you have anything to say about the JJAWful trade.

Well, Howie did it so it must be one of the greatest trades in NFL history.

Depends on whose carrying the gun.

Whose packing heat at a youth football game???

Like I said I coached 9th graders for 7 years, lots of parents and coaches and refs all get heated and yell, there were always at least a pair of officers on the field.

We played in some rougher areas to where one might expect some dudes to be packing heat but one would expect those carrying to be gang banger highschool kids not parents and definitely not coaches.

Just really no reason for a coach or a parent to be packing heat at a youth football game

Leave your gun in your safe at home...

The majority can’t afford a EV

The average price for a new electric vehicle – over $66,000, according to Kelley Blue Book

It's great. It basically helped us sign AJ to an extension.

Nothing wrong with hybrids, nothing wrong with EV.  But to just eliminate for many the heart and soul of a car is just a bad move.  Companies should be giving the consumers what they want.  I have yet to meet a person who said give me more EVs.   I've heard plenty of I won't buy another car from that maker now.

The company that says we will make EV, but we are keeping our traditional powertrains because A LOT of our loyal customers still love and drive them is going to be the company that comes out on top.

People want options, not you must buy this.

They are moving away from the Hemi V8 and switching to a turbocharged inline 6 that will pump out more ponies and be more fuel efficient. I think you will have a long transition period with many on hybrids for awhile before everyone is fully on EV's.

As for getting rid of the Charger and Challenger, I hope they don't turn them into an EV that looks nothing like them like Ford did with the "Mustang" Mach-E. Would be better to market it as a new vehicle instead of spinning an EV off the Charger and Challenger.

I think the average car age on the road is around 12 years now, so it will happen slowly. Just like we still have classic cars on the road today, you will still see ICE vehicles on the road 20+ years from now, just obviously a lot less.

It's different from any arena you've ever been to. Open air, great natural acoustics, feels like they threw a concert and you were just lucky to be in the area. Not to mention you are in the middle of a huge red rocky canyon and found an amphitheater by accident. Yeah, I was enamored. (Is that word allowed?).  One of my all-time favorite places to enjoy live music.

yeah, turbocharged V6 is great and you'll be able to tune/upgrade to get a ton of power.

I'm an Audi guy.  My SQ5 has a supercharged v6 and I love it.  Have tuned it to be around 450 HP, my next tune puts me around 540.  That's all fine and dandy and more than enough power but I'm still shopping for an older s4 with the naturally aspirated v8.  With that, it's not the overall power but the power, sound and driving experience.

I've never driven a rear wheel drive V8 but boy do I love hearing them.
