The key is Hurts is showing much more consistency in his game.  Last season he was tough to watch because he wasn't even consistent drive-to-drive, much less over multiple games.  This season his performance has been consistently high, with a few small glitches.

The first TD throw to Brown actually would have been an INT if Fitzpatrick had high-pointed the ball like he's supposed to.  The 2nd TD throw to Brown was a great throw; couldn't have walked it down there into a better spot.  The third TD throw to Brown was very good as well.  The TD throw to Pascal was a very good progression, where he saw the short pass to Goedert was covered and Hurts progressed to the intermediate route left open.

 There were a couple of sacks Hurts took that could have been avoided, but it's important he didn't make a mistake and put the ball into harm's way.

Not the first nor last time a QB will get lucky and have his receiver (in this case, best friend) bail him out.

He's obsessed.  He wants me to be his friend so bad.   It's kinda creepy.

The way you interact with others on this board diminishes the place and the fact that your interactions with JR, a true contributor, to the board, had him reflect on how your conflict-oriented BS led him to share that he deemed it a personal failure, thus his choice to leave, is one reason why I am interact with your ignorant person. I don't like bullies and you are one -- a small minded person on a message board who gets his jollies by feeling superior to others. So, no obsession. It's more like being comfortable continuing to point out what a tool you are.

What?  You don't think he was good in 2019?  Down the stretch?  Or you don't believe the concussion and then the drafting of Hurts after the concussion played a part in his downfall?

The hate the guy gets is unhealthy.  Almost as unhealthy as the hate McNabb gets.

This is how I feel:

He lost his athleticism and ability to extend plays after injuries. The injuries were part bad luck and part his fault. The dude would never live to fight another play. Every play was 4th and 15 in the last drive of Super Bowl to him. He never threw it away, ran out of bounds, or slide before getting blasted by an on-coming tackler who was running full steam at him. If he didn’t get the Clowney hit, it would be something else. He was destined to be a shell of himself with his reckless playing style. He was also terrible with holding on to the football and giving up fumbles. Ball security was a major issue. I also am of the option that he is totally un-coachable. Never changed or tried to change. His way or the highway.

I've long maintained that the Clowney hit, while it was arguably dirty, was nevertheless another instance of Wentz's reckless playing style rearing its ugly head, where you have the guy taking off and completely unaware of what was happening around him. The guy was constantly putting himself in situations to get blown up; his lack of pocket presence and general awareness is legendary.

And Wentz deserves all the detraction and vitriol he gets. I'm not usually the kind of person to harbor animosity towards a player, but Wentz showed himself to be a truly low character and a quitter with the way he left here. Dude deserves to be run out of of the league like the clown that that he is. He hated accountability and recoiled at any attempt to coach him up and make him a better player. His attitude doomed him to failure from the outset and is the primary reason he's never shown an ability to overcome any sort of adversity.

Yup takes a special kind of stupid to not get along with Dougie P, Wentz demanding his way out of Philly is the best thing to happen to the eagles since 2017.

Depends on if the Phil’s win tonight or not.

I still think we need a biggish RB.  Would like to see some Sermon.  But as the season progresses and the weather gets worse, another back will be nice.

And I don’t want to say it out loud but our #1 back isn’t always "available”

With Howie lurking 24/7, I wouldn't be surprised by anything, unless he gives up too much for a position we do not need (cough, running back, cough). We need DT and veteran safety/corner.

He was in the process of being tackled to the ground and Clowney launched his helmet into the back of Wentz head which also was hitting the ground

Unaware of someone behind him? Wtf?

Jets are about to collapse, but Seahawks and Giants are still up in the air. Giants still have 3 more vs Cowboys/Eagles, but Seahawks play in a division that could have a SB contender or 4 losing teams. Completely random outcome incoming

Nice little renaissance for Geno isn't it. Even if he plays for those shitcunts.

D'Ernest Johnson would be a nice pickup. Maybe the Browns decide to be sellers with a loss tonight

I will take either one. Love em both, then I'll GTFO.

Sanders has a couple plays a game where I just shake my head and wonder WTF is he doing.

Yesterday on a 3rd down I believe first quarter they run a flip 90 play to him with two blockers out in front who open a huge lane for him, what does he do? Instead of cutting in through the semi truck sized lane dude runs directly into the back of his two blockers then is forced out of bounds. 🤷‍♂️

Luckily he picked up the first but the dude leaves a lot of meat on the bone far too often for me.

This talk of 17-0 is foolish. Could it be possible? Maybe. Does it really fn’ing matter? The Patriots were 16-0 and lost in the Super Bowl. Get the first 1 round bye and be the best team in the NFC. 14-3 should accomplish that while allowing a rest week the last week of the season.

This weeks prediction winner is @B3, only one point off with his prediction of an Eagles win, 36-13.

Bonus winners are:

@Connecticut Eagle: Backups play in the 4th

@e-a-g-l-e-s eagles! :Smith and Brown combine for more than 8 receptions and 175 yards

@Greenakers2: Eagles have 2 2nd half TD's

@MillerTime: Brown has 150+ receiving yards

@Texas Eagle: Brown has 2 TD's

Yes. Some guys hear/feel footsteps. Wentz never did. How many times did we watch him get blown up in the pocket, flat-footed and completely unaware of his surroundings?

Clowney approached from the side and was actually parallel to Wentz initially. He had no idea who was in the vicinity.
