That was a great catch by lamb but god awful defense by Minnesota

Looks like it won't count though.

Nevermind.

Wow cowboys got screwed over

Things I think about the game:

-Hurts may still be good enough to go all the way with us, but we need Goedert healthy.

-On the flip side, maybe today helps Hurts get more comfortable with the rest of the WR corps. He relies a lot on dump offs to Goedert if his boy AJ isnt open, and thats mostly it for the passing offense. With one of those guys out, clearly Jalen is very uncomfortable. He shouldnt be. And maybe getting through today helps him take the next step in seeing the whole field.

-The Suh and Joseph signings were fantasticl The D had one weakness, even with Jordan Davis. We faced the toughest RB we have seen all season, and even without Davis held him to 84  yards. The pass D had been our strength all season. Adding 2 pieces like that on the DL who made immediate impacts is potentially transformational for this D. Which should be scary for the rest of the league.

-Quez had a big 3rd down conversion early in the game, and then made the big TD catch and held on with big contact. People seem to remember his mistakes but forget some of the big time catches he can make. Todays really dont even compare to some of the other balls he has gone up and grabbed. He gets a bad wrap because our QB struggles to get him consistent opportunities. Ditto Smith. Although with him its not just the QB, its also the offense in general not putting him in position to make plays.

-The team, in general faced adversity over the past 2 weeks. Teams may have thought they had the blueprint to beat us. One team succeeded only because of all of our offensive mistakes. We tightened up the run D, and no team is going to be able to try that again. When the offense breaks out of its funk, games wont even be close again. It was so big to just be able to tough that one out and get 1 week closer to getting our key players back.

Thoughts on the future-

-Aaron Rodgers doesnt stand a chance on Sunday night.

-By the time we see Tennessee and Henry, Suh and Joseph are going to really be up to speed, and Davis may be back. That game wont be close either.

-We arent going to lose another game.

There was not enough evidence to overturn it. Furthermore looked like a catch anyway.

The next 2 weeks will be really difficult, feels like 1-1 is about what we should expect.  The Packers have elevated themselves to respectable team status and the Titans are playing good football.  All this while the Eagles are playing their worst football of the year with recent opponents broadcasting a pretty solid blueprint on how to get this team on the ropes.

I wish I shared that optimism.

I agree that the key to unlocking this offense is Devonta and Quez.  If they give defense fits and Hurts can see/deliver to them, then defenses are cooked.  If the playcalling and Hurts take those two out of the game (and Goedert is literally out of the game), then our offense is very, very easy to stop.  If you get those two going, it becomes impossible.

Blame playcalling, blame Smith, blame Hurts...but we can't continue to get replacement level production out of our first round pick #2 WR.

Back when they thought XPts were too easy, they should have raised and narrowed the posts - these guys are hitting them midfield, smh.

Yes, but many folks pulling for DAL to win today.

It was clear that Suh and Joseph were men in at DT. Not perfect, but they were harder to move off of the spot than Williams and Tui were,  Made Cox's coasting less obvious

Our schedule the next 4 weeks is much tougher than Dallas. We go vs. packers, vs. titans, at giants and at Chicago (fields has a should injury so who knows with that one). Besides the giants on thanksgiving, Dallas has vs. colts, vs. Texans and at jags. If the eagles go 3-1 over that stretch that game on Xmas eve might be for the division if Dallas wins those games where they are very likely the favorite in all of them. Eagles would sit at 12-2 and Dallas at 11-3. Dallas division record would be 3-1 and the eagles (if beat the giants) 3-1. Meaning if you lose that game dallas owns the tiebreak due to divisional record. Why losing to Washington was worse than if we had lost to the colts instead.

Weird stat of the day.

The Commodes and the Texans were a combined 5 for 26 of 3rd downs. They were 6 for 6 on 4th downs

You don't see more 4th down conversions than 3rd down conversions too often.

Correct, why I never paid attention to the whole "2 game lead” in the division talk.

It could very realistically be erased.

Go Vikes.

All GB has done, is hit a couple of deep shots to Watson. That may not be sustainable. Especially depending on the D they face.

Ours not only has the talent, but also the proper scheme to stop that. 2 deep safeties generally is going to keep the passing game to short and intermediate stuff. And Green Bay should be worried about how Philly just elevated itself too. All of a sudden this D is physical.

Yup titans look good, I think that game will come down to which QB makes the least mistakes.

I know Henry gets all the attention as he should but he's going to do what he does and there will be times where tannenhill needs to make plays eagles need to limit those and hurts mistakes.

Packers who knows, rodgers has looked out of sorts all year and they seem to have a tough time scoring, but apparently so do the eagles now.

I expect it will be a close game.

Not sure Vikings come back in this one. Cousins looks lost and their game plan of not getting it to Jefferson is Not helping their cause

This weeks prediction winner goes to @LeanMeanGM who predicted a close Eagles win by the score of 21-17. Rumor has it not only is he smart, but very handsome too.

Bonus prediction winners:

@garingovt2000 going out on a limb with AJ Brown does better than 1 reception for 7 yards

@Fresh_Prince @Greenakers2 @Texas Eagle and @Westbrook#36 with Taylor held to less than 100.

Something folks aren't talking much about... Is something up with Slay?

He's been pretty bad. At least before he was serviceable, but this year he's looked bad.

Not sure there is anything wrong with Slay…it looks like teams are taking advantage of no Maddox..he needs to get back ASAP

RTK is saying exactly this. 😂  This is why I went nuts.

Where did I say he played like a god?  He put the offense on his back and won this game.  All around him  the offense kept shooting themselves in the foot today but Hurts kept them going and got the win.
